SO grateful to have such amazing clients.

I woke up to a special note from a couple who recently came home from a bucket list trip to Norway, where they traveled by car, boat, plane, train, cruise ship and bus! Almost 2 weeks hiking, kayaking, cruising, museums, tours and more!

What’s one piece of advice I’d give anyone heading to Rome….especially in summer?

Pay for the early morning or evening Colosseum tour! This photo is me in July in Rome and it’s HHHOOOTTT! Hot 🥵. Then add more people.

Taking the evening tour after crowds leave and have exclusive access with no waiting and no intense ☀️ sun. Do it!!

Looking for that special stay in Rome? Where you can be in a villa with gardens, steps from the Trevi Fountain. The Villa Spalletti Trivelli is a boutique hotel that still holds the immaculate feeling for the private home it previously was. 3 of the biggest mistakes I see people making when heading to Europe:

1. Luggage- large elevators and flat, smooth sidewalks and streets don’t exist in most of Europe. Check if you can do these two things with your bags- lift it up stairs yourself and your wheels can handle bumps and uneven surface (multi directional wheels tend to break easier).

2. Expecting meal time to resemble a US restaurant. Savor the Europe speed for meals, multiple courses and service (they aren’t going to be pushing you with the bill, you’ll have to ask for it).

3. Shoes. If you’re sightseeing, you need a stable walking shoe (sandals are not it and Europeans tend to leave those only for the beach). Don’t waste too much luggage space on tons of shoes when one great, comfy pair for daily walking will do.

Germany summers- hiking trails in the Alps, spending afternoons by turquoise lakes, riding cable cars and taking in the view from the Zugspitze….nothing beats this summer dream vacation!

End your day in the local pubs and try German spargel (white asparagus), have summer beer and frites (🍟) and enjoy the view 🏔️

Switzerland is something special! With incredible lakes everywhere, over 7,000 actually?! And - the water's so clean they say you can drink right out of them! Apparently the only time they consider a lake "dirty" is if you can't see the bottom! Which is my personal ranking system for lakes too!

Switzerland is rated super high for quality of life! Maybe it's something to do with their recycling and green ways? They're the world champions of it! And most of their electricity comes from those big hydroelectric dams and nuclear plants, so it's all very eco-conscious. ♻️

With Mountain View’s that never quit, Switzerland offers so much for a traveler to experience. Have you been?
