We are pretty happy with this review!! ;) "This time-capsule of a home was the perfect destination for our getaway. After looking through many different airbnb locations, we fell in love with this one instantly when we found it. The Groovy Lake House is modernized in all the right ways, while still preserving that undeniably unique 70's aesthetic. We were greeted by an incredibly clean and well-kept blast from the past, in a beautiful secluded area on a plot of land all to our own. With incredibly beautiful views both inside the house and out, we instantly knew we made the right decision. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well prepped, and the bathrooms were clean. The owners were incredibly welcoming and ready to accommodate our stay however they could. The only downside I could think of was the distance to the nearest town, but even that was worth it as the drives through the beautiful landscape through the mountains, lakes, and beautiful fall trees were unlike anything we could have hoped for. We hope to stay again at the Groovy Lakehouse next year, as this destination is a must for anyone looking for something unique!"

The Groovy Lake House is private and secluded, but there’s a multitude of sights to see and activities to enjoy all around. Public access to Lake Champlain is just over 2 miles away in Arnold Bay (location of the first naval engagement during the Revolutionary War), there is a public dock to launch your boat, kayak, or just take a swim. The adorably quaint town of Vergennes--Vermont’s first “city”--is very close, and boasts delightful restaurants, a charming downtown, and waterfalls. Enjoy miniature golf around the corner from the house, or full-scale 18-hole golf at Harbor Basin. The area is also brimming with history, including the spectacular ruins at Crown Point State Historic Park--a British fort built in 1759 and captured during the Revolutionary War in 1775. Other nearby noteworthy sites include Button Bay State Park, Port Henry, Burlington, Ticonderoga, Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory, and cross-country skiing at Rikert. And just a daytrip away, you can hike the Adirondacks and explore Montreal, Canada
