Join us this Friday, August 2nd with our partners City of Delray Beach, Florida Government and Surfrider Foundation to watch our biologists excavate a loggerhead sea turtle nest!

Nests are excavated a few days after their hatch date to collect data. Biologists count how many eggs were laid, how many hatched, and release any hatchlings found in the nest (viewing hatchlings is not guaranteed and depends on whether any remain in the nest at time of excavation, if time allows, and/or conditions are favorable).

Free admission. All ages welcome. No tickets or registration required.

Meet us on the beach just south of Casuarina Road at 8:30AM 🐢

Reminder: You will be walking in the sand and may be on the beach for at least a half hour or more. We recommend bringing water, sunscreen, and a hat. ☀️

All activities are performed by permitted biologists under MTP 24-010.
