Been running around the neighborhood tonight, trying to capture the phenomenon that’s happening, right here in Cape May. The Aurora Borealis was shining for all to see. It was so beautiful at the Delaware Bay and then caught some pictures as it wrapped itself around our tiny cottage.

Thanks to for the information that got me outside and looking up!

It’s Greenwood Bay Cottage’s birthday 🎉
We started welcoming guests into our tiny cottage, October 2020. In the midst of the Covid pandemic on . We had no experience in hospitality and frankly, we were scared 😳. We knew the space we created was cool in our eyes, but would other’s like it? Would anyone want to book our cottage?

Honestly…we faked it till we made it, I guess you could say. Fast forward to 2024, we are still learning the ropes, but have come to realize, folks dig the space we created. That’s a gift, to know, to feel people’s happiness and gratitude. I’m proud of us.

My advice to people starting out on the short term rental journey…create a space that comes from your heart. Don’t be afraid to look different, fill your home with intention. Find your identity and fly, people will notice, I promise.

Btw, this 1960’s Peanuts banner is the latest addition to GBC.

Couples is our specialty.
2 is our number.
Happiness is walking hand in hand.

It’s would say,

we’ve had some new ventures,
hot days, humid nights
spent time with old friends,
met some very cool people,
and got our hearts broken.

The way we see the world and future has changed. For better or worse. Summer is winding down and we are looking for a fresh breeze, a sign of life headed into our fall season.

Hope you all had a wonderful summer, and if you were our guests at Greenwood Bay Cottage, we have loved having you in our home.
