Walt Disney World has released two resort refurbishment updates:

Coronado Springs Resort - The Dig Site Pool waterslide will be closed for refurbishment from May 13 through May 19, and will reopen on May 20, 2024. The Dig Site Pool, hot tub and smaller pool will remain open.

Disney's All-Star Movies Resort - From July 1 through July 31, 2024, the World Premiere Food Court at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort will undergo a refurbishment. During this time, guests may utilize the My Disney Experience app to order food and drinks with their mobile device. Signs featuring a QR code in the lobby and near the World Premiere Food Court areas will take guests to the app when scanned. Please note, the mobile order menu will only offer select items at this time.

As part of its Halfway to Halloween announcements, the Disney Parks Blog has released more details on the Disney Treasure's Haunted Mansion Parlor.

Here is a recap of today's Disney Treasure Haunted Mansion Parlor announcements:
- We now know the Parlor belonged to a "jovial sea captain and his strange but captivating fiancé."
- One of Rolly Crump's original Disneyland Haunted Mansion ideas, the “Aquarium with Ghost Fish,” will be part of the parlor.
- Like the Haunted Mansions in the Disney Parks, the Parlor will feature an "eerie portrait gallery that will depict some of the wandering souls that have taken up residence onboard the Disney Treasure." Portraits in the gallery will include The Mariner, which was originally created by Disney Legend Marc Davis, a distinguished portrait of the good-humored sea captain, and a painting of "the Captain’s bride-to-be that will take cues from Marc Davis’ iconic “cat lady” concept. Inside the Haunted Mansion Parlor, her portrait will flicker to reveal her true form and, perhaps, her true intentions."
- It was also announced that a series of commemorative mugs would be available in the Haunted Mansion Parlor. The first of the series will be The Mariner and The Bride. These will be available for guests on the Disney Treasure, which starts sailing on December 21, 2024.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returns to the Magic Kingdom in 2024 with five new exciting activities for guests to enjoy!

- More Villain sightings, meaning more selfies with your favorite bad guy or girl.
- A new DescenDANCE Party will be held at Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland, so you can show that you have all the ways to be W-I-C-K-E-D.
- Bruno, The Tío from Encanto we don't discuss, will be meeting guests with Mirabel at the Casita in Fairytale Garden.
- The Boo to You Parade will take place at an earlier time.

Because Disney Cruise Line has seen an increase in guests arriving at the terminal with prohibited and restricted items in their bags and luggage, guests will soon receive the following email from DCL before their cruise. Even though we share this information with our guests before they sail in our "DCL 101" email, we wanted to share this information with you.

"We are excited to welcome you aboard and want to share important information with you for your upcoming Disney cruise. As you begin to pack for your vacation, please keep in mind there are certain items you cannot bring with you. Please closely review the list of prohibited and restricted items on disneycruise.com. Some of those items include:
- Surge protectors
- Irons and steamers
- Drones
- Weapons, fi****ms, and ammunition
- Illegal narcotics, ma*****na (even if legal where you reside or medically prescribed), and drug paraphernalia.
To avoid delays for you and your family during the embarkation process, please closely review our list of prohibited and restricted items, and remove any of those items from your checked and carry-on bags before arriving to the terminal. We recommend that you thoroughly check all compartments and pockets of any bag you plan to bring onboard, as some smaller items, such as ammunition and medical ma*****na, can be accidently left behind in a personal bag from a previous use. Several of the prohibited items are illegal in the ports we visit, and if they are found, you could be arrested and subject to legal penalties. Other items, such as surge protectors, irons, and steamers, pose a fire hazard and are prohibited onboard.
Guests who arrive to the terminal with a prohibited and/or restricted item in their bags or luggage, as well as their entire traveling party, will be required to undergo additional screening and may be denied boarding depending on the item found.
