Summary/Objective
The Purchasing Agent position focuses on making the business profitable through procuring the correct quality products in a timely manner, at the right price.

Essential Functions

1. Purchase all production and buy/sell items in a timely fashion to ensure smooth plant operations without creating excess inventory or unnecessary labor.
2. Support indirect departments with their procurement needs.
3. Work with the senior Purchasing Agent staff and purchasing / materials manager on following established processes and procedures.
4. Maintain accurate records on all production & buy/sell items.
5. Establish and maintain good supplier relations and build partnerships when applicable but establish alternates if possible.

The Customer Service / Marketing assistant will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. This role will play an integral role in the servicing of our current customer base. Marketing responsibilities include in-house digital print production, collateral curation, and assembly as well as administrative work. Additional responsibilities may include trade show planning, social media management, and other general sales, marketing, and promotional support. In addition, they would assist the outside sales team.

Responsibilities of Position:

Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, create and design marketing, advertising, and promotional literature pieces that are effective in communicating and delivering their intended message.

Fulfill sales and marketing printed collateral requests by operating the company production printer, laminator, and die cutter. Also monitors and maintains all printed literature and printer inventory supply levels such as paper or toner, etc.

Maintain and manage lead lists for physical mailers and e-mail blasts.

Monitor and maintain company social media outlets while interacting with followers.

Fulfill content update requests on the family of Martin Yale websites and the reseller login portals as needed. Additional coordinating with outside digital marketing vendors may be necessary to help make updates.

Assist with the preparation and coordination of all trade shows and other industry/company related events including logistics such as booth application, attendee registration, shipping and handling of products and machinery, keeping track of and ordering promo materials and literature, etc.

Stay abreast of internal company functions and events that may affect our ability to meet the needs and requirements of key accounts

Maintain open channel of communication with Regional Sales Managers, Inside Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Shipping and VP of Sales & Marketing to insure that opportunities are being exploited and that the needs of the accounts are being met.

Investigate and resolve queries and issues raised by current customers

Utilize CRM to provide documentation of ongoing activities

Insure adherence to all company policies

Daily inbound/outbound calls up to 10 hrs. Daily

Order input/ Customer issue research as needed

RMA Input when needed

Assist the outside sales Team
