The birds are back. We had over 10 bluejays the feeder on the deck. The birds love the little tree we tied to the deck. It’s so fun to watch them.

During the northern lights we took the opportunity to walk up to Palisade Head. We weren’t the only ones. What a beautiful view.

Hiked 3 miles round trip to see the High Falls at Tettegouche State Park today. Beautiful and just 6 miles from us.

Our North Shore neighbor reminded me that her and my favorite candy store in Knife River has just opened. Their homemade candy is so good. I especially like the fudge!

I decided to rearrange the chairs down by the lake since at this time the fire risk is high and we will not using the fire ring or using the indoor wood fireplace until risk level goes down.

Waiting for it to get warm enough to put the outdoor furniture on the upper deck and lower level patio area so you can enjoy a cup of coffee outdoors while watching the sunrise over Lake Superior.

We ventured up for a quick couple days before the snow arrived. The weather was cool but beautiful. There are many more rocks exposed along the shoreline as Lake Superior water level has dropped making it great for agate hunting. A beautiful calm morning view from the deck.
