Did you know The Red Barn Loft is available for long stays? We were so thankful to have Tara come and stay with us for several months! Check out what she had to say!
"I stayed here between Jan 2024- April 2024, during my contract extension. Words can’t express how much I loved this little barn loft. When I arrived, it was clean and welcoming. It had all the comforts that I needed to live day to day working a busy schedule at the local hospital. The kitchen was huge and had so many things to help me prepare a real meal at the end of my day. The bonus was the dishwasher which made cleanup so much quicker. I mention this because my previous place in the area didn’t have one. The main bedroom I used was very comfortable and had lots of storage space for my clothing. I also enjoyed the remote blinds making it easy to get natural light in my room. The main living area was open and spacious with a large couch to relax. Overall, I enjoyed that the barn sat in the middle of farmland and was more secluded. This made it quiet and peaceful during my downtime. At night, there was no light pollution making for incredible stargazing from the side deck. In the morning, I was able to enjoy my coffee with an amazing view over the fields. Most of the time the fields had deer walking about. This place also has a cupola which I had access to by ladders from the main living area. I was up there often reading a book and enjoying the sunset or sunrise. While I am sure this isn’t a must for most people, it is a unique feature I didn’t expect to love as much as I did.
As for my landlords, they were the most amazing people I have ever rented from. They were always accessible if I ever needed them, as they live in the main house next to the barn. For example, during the total solar eclipse, I was notified before signing a lease that the barn had already been rented for that weekend. My landlord worked with me and allowed me to live in their home for that weekend. They made the transition as easy as possible both moving out and moving back in. I in fact became very close with them during my stay. I loved my afternoon walks with Anna and Mac (Dog). They even treated me like family and introduced me to their family during the Easter holiday. It was nice as I was traveling solo for this contract. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness and support while living in their barn loft. I would without a doubt stay here again if a contract ever takes me back their way. I am sure I will also make time to visit along my travels again. I will truly miss my little place in the barn loft." - Tara L.
