3 weeks old and weighing 4.95lbs. He’s grown to 14in. high, as shown by marks on the prayer chair. He’s eating grass and grain now and trying water between his milk bottles. He’s made a friend with the oldest ewe lamb. She’s his elder by 1 week. They finally snuggled. I did not get the picture. The fence was in the way and the window was foggy. However, from my view it appeared they were spooning aaaaand Tiny Tom was the big spoon 🥹

Two new lambs this morning !!! I’ll be keeping this little girl and refarming her brother at weaning time. We are at 7 girls, 7 boys, and one possible momma ewe left to lamb for the season. I’ll be keeping all the girls, and refarming all but one boy. I bet you know who that tiny boy is that I’m keeping forever !!!

Experiment pasture visits: We brought in the dog crate to protect the lamb from predator birds and to keep him from going on the other side of the fence. He can totally fit through the fence squares. Soooo that’s mom greeting him first. Check back to see how this crate visit goes with Tiny Tom’s sheople

Best day ever!
Best day ever!

This tiny guy went to Georgia for our team’s scrimmage, and was passed around and loved on by so many today. A few people asked if he should be traveling and around so many people. Ok, so sheep are not independent animals. They depend on their flock and get major anxiety when alone. He would not thrive if I left him alone often. They gotta have their flock. This lil guy is in need of a herd. He needs loved and cuddled just as much as he needs a bottle of lamb formula. He bounced around when we got home like he’d had the best day ever!!!! I’m so thankful our Tristar team just happens to be his flock (and a few rowers from Saint Andrew’s 😁) I just wish I had gotten a group picture of his herd . lol
