Bergamot Jewels & Knits

I always had to be fiddling with or holding something to occupy myself. The fiddling later turned into crafts with pipe cleaners and pom poms. When I was fifteen years old, I attended a jewelry class and it sparked my love for jewelry creation. Fifteen Jewels and a Purl was born from my newly found skill at that age but also the diagnoses of multiple chronic illnesses I received at the same time.

Many days I was too ill to do much or leave the house, so I began to create. I taught myself how to knit as well, but am only now starting to sell knitted items (the "Purl" is a new addition to my previous name of "Fifteen Jewels" and for those of you who are concerned for my spelling a purl is a stitch used in knitting, no worries). Art has always been an outlet for me but it has become even more important with the presence of sickness in my life. I may be limited, I may be sick, but I'll never let that put a stop to my creativity.
