I've created a second Etsy shop - Clutter Gallery - to start clearing out my studio. I started with books - still so many to get listed in the shop, but there are a lot of good ones in there! I am offering my "Yoga for Your Brain" trademark for sale.
This is the branding that I used to market all my art/creativity classes when I owned my creativity general store, Wingdoodle. After I learned Zentangle, taught a ton of ZT classes, and wrote a bunch of ZT books, the mark became associated with tangling. I did have the trademark before I wrote the book "Yoga for Your Brain"! The mark was also associated with my YFYB Tangle Cards, and my YFYB Tangle Library APP.
I have kept a low profile in the ZT world, the past few years, because of issues with the publisher of my ZT books. Now, for health reasons, I do not intend to teach anymore (except through books!) and I would like to put more effort into my own publishing company - Bumblebat Books. My focus is on mental health comics, graphic medicine, creativity, and tangling. I am selling the trademark to fund the time it takes me to write and illustrate the new books, as well as to do the printing.
If you are interested - the trademark is for "Education services, namely, providing live and online classes and workshops in the field of art. The term “Yoga for Your Brain” results in over one million hits on Google. While currently registered under education services, the mark has the potential to be expanded to art therapy for health and wellness in addition to the broad definition of art education."
Keep in mind, the title of books cannot be trademarked, but can include a trademarked word or phrase. Also, Amazon (and the trademark office) does not distinguish between "Yoga for YOUR Brain" and "Yoga for THE Brain."
Please note that the trademark is for the phrase "Yoga for Your Brain" and does not include any images (the cartoon image of me is copyrighted separately).
I imagine the mark could be very useful for someone doing retreats, any kinds of art workshops - but especially in the Zentangle world, since it is already associated with tangling.

Today - the Wingdoodle building was officially sold to Make Grow LLC!!!
The story behind this simple transaction is twisted, spans almost a year and a half, and would make your jaw drop in disbelief.
Nevertheless, we persisted!

The Warner Public Market has a permanent home and I couldn’t think of a better business to fill the building.

Be sure to stop in and congratulate them! And if you haven’t been in there yet, this is the perfect excuse. It’s an amazing shop. 😁
