Coasting

University of Central Missouri Integrative Business Experience gives hands learning to business students to raise funds for the Warrensburg Animal Shelter.

Coasting is part of the Integrated Business Experience that provides hands-on experience that helps prepare all of the business students for their future. This semester we will create and manage two different projects, a start-up company where we will create, market, and sell a single product. Our product will be a high quality cork coaster with two creative designs that will make the pack of four

coasters. We will also be allowed to have hands-on community service project to make an impact on a local charity. Our charity is the Warrensburg Animal Shelter who offers animals of all kinds a safe place, as a no kill shelter, until they find their forever home. Since 2004 IBE students at UCM have made $440,000 from products, $240,000 in donations, and volunteered 17,000 hours to help local nonprofits.
