The Sunset Cottage is ideally located on Chapman Lake facing West overlooking the entire lake. You can swim right off the seawall as the sandy area is an ideal location for all sorts of water fun! The water depth is about 18” and it slowly tapers off to deeper water.
The swimming area is quite large so bring a chair or floaty and have hours of endless fun whether you are young or young at heart. There are 2 sandbars on Big Chapman with shallow areas ranging from 1’ - waist deep. Tie up and have a great time! In the evening, sit around the campfire (firewood is included!), make s’mores & most importantly memories that will last a lifetime. No smoking or pets. Pontoon information:
2021 Godfrey SW 2086 CX. It is 20’ in length with a 90 HP Yamaha motor. Maximum Capacities: 10 persons or 1400 lbs. Permitted use from Dawn to Dusk. The pontoon is exclusive to the Cottage and is included in the daily rate from Memorial Day - Labor Day; then al a cart before / after this time period at a Daily rate of $249 with a 2 day minimum. A tubbing package can be added for $69 which includes at least 2 tubes. (Refer to contract for all rules / regulations / requirements)
The home is located lakeside with a built in channel so your friends or family can pick you up to enjoy the sandbar or tie up your own pontoon or I/O boat. There is a public boat launch on the South East side of Chapman Lake. The property has 3 bedrooms; 1 queen bed, 1 twin trundle bed (each are twin size) and bunk beds (each are full size) and 1 bathroom; Sleeps 8. Amenities include: Central A/C, Cable TV and Wifi via MediaCom, Ceiling fan in the living room, Weber Propane grill on the deck, Campfire (wood is included for free!), a small portable slide, Corn hole, 1 Stand Up Paddle Board (11'2' long), Paddle Boat, and other miscellaneous water toys / floats. Located on Chapman Lake, an all-sports lake that is connected to Little Chapman Lake which offers a slower pace. The spring-fed lakes comprise a total of 638 acres. Lake Information:
