This week we celebrate the ‘MOTHER OF BEADWORK’ - artist JOYCE J. SCOTT. The award-winning artist is known for creating iconic, intricate beaded sculptures that blend beauty and humor with biting social commentary on issues like racism and sexism. Her work is now featured in a grand exhibition showcasing 50 years of her career as a multidisciplinary artist. "Joyce J. Scott: Walk A Mile in My Dreams" is now on view at the Baltimore Museum of Art.
