“Josie” is the name of our back hoe. 🚜 This video is of the last day we were at Lake Longbow, completing the finishing touches before our first guests arrived. It was hot 🥵 and Ole Josie worked her heart out all day laying gravel for the driveway and parking area. And then she just stopped…right smack dab in front of the house. And her tire went flat. 🛞 We were all laying hands on Josie and praying for her. We knew it wasn’t her time to go, and we had to get the place ready so we could get back to work! Jeramie and Matt were trying to get her started so we could at least move her a little ways away. The looks on their faces in this video! 😂 They look so defeated. They called Chris Davis, our marketing guy at work - who most people don’t realize is a big-machine geek on the side - and Chris suggested it was the fuel pump. So the mission became: how do we locate a “new” fuel pump for a 20 + year-old machine? Well, we did it (a few days later)! And got Josie up and running again and her tire fixed! 😀 🙌 Josie, you’re a good ole gal and you have worked very hard for us to get our beautiful lake property up and running.

*Side note, we had our first family come and stay. They brought their 4-wheelers, dog 🐶, and fishing poles and had an amazing time! They said they enjoyed the stars at night, sitting on the back deck and are planning their next trip back. 🤩

There really is something about this place that just makes you take a deep breath and release the daily burdens off your shoulders. We hope you’ll have the chance to experience it yourself. ❤️
