Please if you call me leave a message or better yet text me at 315-783-2673. The salon phone also forwards to my cell phone. During the day I’m either driving or working on a dog so I usually don’t answer my phone but I do check frequently for messages. I also get a ton of spam calls, many where they use a program to show our 315 area code. So for fastest response please leave a message. Thanks 🐾
Many of you know Gains and I participate in dock diving. Are you looking to try your dog at some of the different pool sports but either don’t know where to go or don’t want to drive that far?! Well we now have a pool in our area. Lakeview Launch Dogs is now open for lessons and pool rental. They are located about 10 miles south of Henderson on Rt. 3. Check out their FB page. They have a fun day coming up this Sunday. Stop by and check it out.
Would like to give a shout out to another great small business. KMH Remediation and Cleaning. They are fantastic. They are certified in mold remediation, do duct work, carpets, floor stripping and waxing, clearing out for military , business and residential cleaning and so much more. Plus the staff is awesome! I wrecked a tire on my lawn mower and one of the guys fixed it for me. 😊🐾 you can call 315-788-8990 or 315-386-8144.
So cute! I could imagine Gwen or Gia doing this.
Nice text from a client.
Happy 4th of July to everyone! Be safe with fireworks. I know some of the dogs will be going crazy with hours and days of people blowing off fireworks. Sending prayers they are safe and the poor fur parents that have to suffer what their pets are going to go through.
Can you believe these ears! I don’t think there is anything cuter than a basset puppy’s long ears! 😍 unless they are tripping over them. 😂
Please remember this next time you’re decorating for an outdoor party.
Erik picked up this strand of ELEVEN balloons out of the hayfield this afternoon. They were losing helium and would have been essentially invisible in another few hours, and then stood a good chance of getting mowed, raked and baled in the dense grass to be potentially eaten by a cow, horse or goat this winter. This is often fatal to the animal, causing intestinal blockage or choking. With the long strings wound right into the bale, an animal may not even realize what it’s consuming until it’s too late.
Please, on behalf of not only livestock but wildlife, skip the balloons when you’re decorating for your party this summer! Releasing balloons, whether accidental or intentional, is littering, plain and simple—and it can truly have deadly consequences.
For our readers who want receipts, here a few articles about the effect of balloons on both livestock and wildlife:

In Clayton participating in the Seaway Splash. Archer is patiently waiting his turn to jump.
Gains will be getting massage and treatment from Lisa this weekend during Seaway Splash in Clayton. He had two treatments last year at Ultimate Air Games in TN . He actually set a new personal best. She will be offering this to the general public. Stop down and treat your dog or yourself!
Gains and I are signed up for all three days. Many locals will be there. Stop down and watch the competition and cheer us on!
I get many calls from clients with skunked dogs. Here is an article that explains the process.
As the day comes to a close I’d like to give a big shout out to all the service women and men who sacrificed so much for our freedom. This includes my grandfathers, father and husband. Thank you all for your service.
Most days I am out mobile grooming. The salon phone forwards to my cell phone. When the phone rings I may be driving or working on a dog so I typically don’t answer. I also get a TON of spam calls. I do check my phone after it rings or throughout the day for messages. The outgoing message is a male voice with an Australian accent. 😂. Please leave a message if you’d like a call or text back. Thanks !🐾
I wish all the dogs enjoyed spa day as much as this one does and were this well behaved !
Wishing every pet mom a Happy Mother’s Day.
I know it’s that time of year when we like to get out with our dogs and both get exercise. Many like the paved trails. Early morning or later afternoon/early evening may be a better idea.
It’s getting to be that time of year.
Gains getting his teeth cleaned at home by a vet tech/service that specializes in this. It does not replace traditional vet teeth cleaning where the pet is sedated. This service can check for cracked teeth, growths etc., take pics and let owner be aware but cannot remove anything like the vets can. I figure for a fraction of the cost it helps in between vet teeth cleaning. This is in Florida not NY.

Gains doing PT this morning. 2.5 hrs drive one way but we leave 3 hrs just to make sure we arrive in time. Don’t want to run into traffic or construction.
Even the little dogs can get involved in dog sports. The saying in dock diving isn’t that your dog has to jump the farthest just the farthest in their category.
5pm this evening driving down A1A along the ocean from St. Augustine to Daytona Beach Bruce and I decided to stop for a drink. ( ok those who know me know I drink just soda). Pass a place called Good Times Dog Bar. Of course I turn around so we can check it out. I’m thinking it’s just a bar with dog in the name but it’s actually a dog park and human bar/restaurant in one! There’s a small dog park and a big dog park. Building with a bar area and pool table. In the dog parks are some tables and lots of chairs. Outside the fence area is a sandy area plus a dock if you come by boat. Food truck on site for those that want a bite to eat. Kind of wish we had our dogs with us. The place was very busy and everyone seemed to be having a great time especially the dogs!
My neighbors are always saying to use their dock to practice dock diving with Gains so I finally took them up on their offer. Jan took some videos than I recruited her to hold him as he just gets so excited on the dock it’s hard to get him to sit/say. It would have been better if I threw his toy farther out but I get caught up with the rope I have his toy attached to. I’m nervous it will end up floating away. He’s really building his confidence!
This is Pixel the Yorkie. He and his mom are in rally class with Gains and I. Wanted to share as I think it’s so cute and awesome to watch them work together. Usually you see the small dogs just being carried around by their owners and not knowing much. The small breeds are just as smart as the larger breeds and I bet many would love to learn all sorts of tricks and commands 😊🐾🐾
All the people watching Gains getting groomed. He’s being very well behaved . Phew. I offered him up for Groom Expo in Hershey in September. 😊 Gains can start earning his keep lol
Are you looking for something different to try with your dog?! I was driving almost 1.5 hours to Cato for dock diving lessons. Now there's a pool much closer to home in Clayton! It's something almost any dog can learn. I started Gaines at about 8 months. It's taken awhile but he's finally getting the hang of it.
