We hear you, can’t beat that gorgeous king size master suite with even better views! 🤩Kudos to for their fantastic communication with Guests and making our house sparkle! 💖 (And so happy to hear our thoughtful amenities and labor of love in the yard is appreciated!)

Ahhhh relaxing by our freshly tuned up fireplace is a fabulous way to wrap up a weekend of Fall clean-up sprinkled in with visits from our animal friends (swans, eagles, and apparently now a beaver 🦫 too?!?!) Nothing like the peace of that Up North feeling!

Can’t wait for our next trip to explore! 😍 What a gem to have connecting towns of northwestern WI.

🍁 🍃 🍂 Happy Fall Equinox from Friends of Gandy Dancer! Fall colors are in full swing.

This is the best time of the year for viewing wildlife, seeing deeper into the woods, witnessing bird migrations and taking in all this autumn goodness.

With restaurants, apple orchards, state parks, lodging and farm stands galore we are so grateful the Gandy serves as an artery for active transportation through so many towns, fields & forests!

Some of our favorite things about are the panoramic views from the house and that it’s just a few steps to the large, flat yard to play games or relax by the fire lakeside. Looking forward to seeing this beauty transition to Fall!🍁

Beautiful views indeed!
We can’t take credit for that … but we have put a lot of thought into all of the little details to create a welcoming lake home for our Guests. So fun to hear about their experiences! ❤️

Things we learned on Big Sand Lake last week:
1. Guests weren’t kidding when they said the fishing was GREAT!
2. Our trusty little rowboat hauled in about 50 panfish (majority keepers) and 2 little bass in about 60 minutes
3. We should have bought 2 dozen crawlers
4. How fun it is when you all 3 pull in a fish at the same time!
5. Eddie the Eagle’s flight path (video in comments, view from our dock) was a great representation of where to find the hot spot w**d bed!

Meet Eddie. He was VERY active last weekend. I paddled down the shore just a bit to see if I could spot his nest but no luck. Next trip goals!

We recently added a new net to our “vintage” hoop after hearing our Guests enjoyed playing basketball during their stay. We’re told this hoop has been around since our property’s former life as a resort 30+ years ago!

Destination Sand Bar 😎
We love paddling to the nearby sand bar to splash, play catch, show off our hand stand skills, and relax on the shallow sandy bottom. Sometimes we’re lucky enough to get it all to ourselves!

Welcome to Big Sand Lake Escape! We purchased this home in late Summer of 2022 with dreams of relaxing with family & friends on the shores of Big Sand Lake. We look forward to our vacation time and are excited to open it up to you to enjoy when we can't getaway!
