Having a cruise port in South Carolina was such a game-changer for so many travelers. It's heartbreaking to see Carnival leave!

THE FINAL SAILING FROM CHARLESTON SC:

The Carnival Sunshine is bidding farewell to Charleston, South Carolina, with its final sailing scheduled for December 30, 2024. This 5-night adventure to the beautiful Bahamas will return on January 5, 2025, marking the end of an incredible 14-year era for Carnival at this beloved port. 🎉🌊

Though it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, the Carnival Sunshine will embark on an exciting new chapter, repositioning to Norfolk, Virginia, in 2025. From there, it will offer unforgettable cruises to The Bahamas, Caribbean, and Bermuda. 🌴🌺

Charleston may no longer host Carnival departures, but the port will continue to welcome other cruise lines in the future. As a destination rich in history and charm, Charleston is worth visiting by land or sea. Speaking as someone who once lived in the Lowcountry, we wholeheartedly recommend exploring this amazing city.
