Had 1 day here to beat the inch and a half of rain coming over the next 3 days . Thought I better load the root cellar with some items, this is one load out of 3. Got to get the stuff in today to keep the humidity out and keep goods dry.
This year is "test the cellar" year. Not getting to crazy on everything until we see the results.
P.s 24° here last night🙃
Husband built this cool kindling rack for the sauna building..
Sauna bathing weather it is!!

Today's treasures from my exploration to Vermillion point to do a little rock hounding, had the whole beach to myself for almost 2 hours. It was a beautiful thing🙃

The great Tahquamenon wilderness canoe race. 17 1/2 miles total. When they reach us they are 1/2 way.
Determined and hard play. Took them a hour to get here.

Good Tuesday 😊
Laundry day involves the generator to run washer, which means it's a good time to vacuum too. I fill 5 gallon buckets for the wash and rinse cycle. It takes 5 per wash and 5 per rinse. Sense the water is always flowing from the well I make the extra work to do this to save wear and tear on our water pump, as well as gas for the generator. It's also a good workout😉
Hang clothes to dry and fluff them in dryer later once all are ready. This is a all day event. But it's what is all about🙂

U.P. here it's usually about 10 to 7 degrees cooler than lower Michigan. At night we open the windows to cool the place down,.. mornings we close them back up and it holds the cool temperature through the day... tonight it's still HOT (80) and no breeze. No A.C here in the sticks 🥵
Whew!!!
Can't imagine how hot it was down below 😳🧐
