Memorial Day weekend is almost here, which means the park is going to be very busy! Both Zion Canyon and the Kolob Canyons areas of the park experience high visitation, so be prepared:

🚗 Parking lots tend to fill early. In Zion Canyon, you can park in the town of Springdale and ride the shuttle to the park entrance. When parking fills, the east and south entrances may temporarily close. There is no shuttle service in the Kolob section of the park. Plan accordingly.

🎒 Pack your patience, everyone is here to enjoy the park just like you! Expect crowds throughout the park and potentially long waits for the shuttle.

🌈 Know where you're going and have a backup plan just in case. Our website has current park alerts and conditions, so be sure to check before your visit.

🥾 Hikes to Angels Landing require a permit. Visit go.nps.gov/AngelsLanding to learn more.

Vehicle reservations will begin this Friday, May 24th, 2024.

Vehicle reservations will be required for Going-to-the-Sun-Road via the West Entrance, and the North Fork. Vehicle reservations are required from 6 am through 3pm.

The vehicle reservation checkpoint on Going-to-the-Sun Road for east-bound traffic will be located at the turn-off for Apgar Loop Road.

Congestion is expected in Apgar Village and Apgar Visitor Center with limited parking. Only emergency vehicles will be allowed to take a left turn from Apgar Loop Road onto Going-to-the-Sun Road. Service reservations originating east of Logan Pass cannot be used instead of a vehicle reservation for access past the Apgar Check Point heading east on Going-to-the-Sun Road

Next day vehicle reservations are available for Going-to-the-Sun Road via the West Entrance and the North Fork the day before your attended visit, beginning May 23, 2024, at 7 pm MDT on Recreation.gov.

Visitors are encouraged to check the park website https://www.nps.gov/glac/planyourvisit/vehicle-reservations.htm frequently for updates and additional information.
