Okay, so hear me out on these!
1.There’s no such thing as “best resort”. Shocker, I know! I certainly have my favorite resorts, but it may not be the right fit for you. If you are looking for a quiet, boutique style resort and I send you to a large, very active property because I think it’s “best” then I’ve not done my job. Which is to make you happy and your trip a success!
2. Just because your friends loved a resort doesn’t mean you will. Do you and your friends have the same travel preferences? Absolutely tell me where your friends went and loved, but heads up- I may tell you it’s not on the same level as the resorts we’ve been discussing.
3. Let’s talk upgrades- that’s a decision you will have to make. I will absolutely give you all the information you need to help make this decision, but at the end of the day there’s a budget. Maybe you want to upgrade from a tropical view to a swim-out room, but that’s out of budget. What about an “ocean view” room? I’ll share my experiences and feedback, but there’s truly no right answer.
4. Quality👏 over 👏quantity 👏 do I need to say it louder for the people in the back? 5-6 days in paradise is always better than 7+ days at a resort that’s just meh or even worse…one you hate!

Don’t let the rain get you down! Here’s some tips for a rainy Disney park day.
1) always, ALWAYS bring a rain poncho. They fold up so small and take up minimal space in your park bag.
2)if the weather forecast calls for rain, wear Crocs, Natives or other water type sandals. I love my Tevas.
3)head indoors to grab a bite to eat, shop, or see a show. Just wait it out-people tend to leave when it rains but if you can wait it out you may find less crowds post rain!
4)head back to your resort for a break
5)embrace it!! You are at Disney!!
6)Expect it-If you go into your vacation expecting it may rain you will be less disappointed when it does rain.

I learned my lesson years ago when I was traveling alone with 2 small children and our flight cancelled at midnight. Not only was it late, we were in another country. After a good cry, I got myself together, woke me kids who were sleeping on the airport floor, carried one child and went to claim all our luggage at baggage claim and made our way to our hotel.
