There is a 3 night minimum booking and a 14 night maximum booking and a 2 day minimum PARK HOPPER or Water Parks add on ticket requirement for everyone on the reservation. Epcot's Garden Grill is now taking BREAKFAST and LUNCH reservations! Previously you could only have dinner with Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale at Garden Grill, but starting November 8, the characters will be at Garden Gill for all three meal seatings. Reservations opened this morning, so call now to get your lunch or breakfast reservations, as I'm sure this will book up very quickly :-)

New CHRISTMAS themed Character Dining meal coming to Hollywood Studios, Hollywood & Vine Restaurant! Minnie's Holiday Dine character meal will be available for dinner reservations between the dates of November 7, 2015 - January 3, 2016. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Santa Goofy will greet in their holiday attire and the restaurant will be decorated with a holiday theme. That information has been confirmed by Disney dining line employees, but the booking date has not been released. It is rumored that booking will open late this week or early next week and that the meal will only be 1 Table Service credit and the Fantasmic package for this character meal will be 2 Table Service credits. Of course, when the booking date and other info is confirmed, we will share it here :-)

It's that time of year again! FREE DINING!!

The annual free dining dates are usually released at this time each year, so, of course, the "Free Dining Rumors" are swirling :-) Most of the Free Dining "sources" are saying the Disney Visa Free Dining promo will be released next Monday, April 27 or Thursday, April 30, with the General Public Free Dining promo to follow three days later. Generally, the Free Dining promo will cover dates at the end of August, entire month of September, first and last weeks of October and second and third weeks of November and December. We will be sure to update as soon as a release date or the promo dates are confirmed. Stay tuned!

Wow! The Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party dates are not usually released or go on sale until early May, but the Disney Parks Blog released all of the dates yesterday and said they will go on sale in April. Remember, Halloween will sell out VERY quickly, along with the parties the weekend before Thanksgiving week :-)

One of our last family photos in front of the Sorcerer's Hat at Disney Hollywood Studios! The iconic hat's last day is supposed to be January 7, 2015. We are arriving on January 9, so will miss it by 2 days. Lots of changes coming to Hollywood Studios in the next couple of years :-)

The Stay/Play/Dine discount is available for dates of December 14 - 20, 2014 and January 5 - March 7, 2015.

The Room-Only Discounts cover dates from January 5 - March 28, 2014. Save up to 30% on Deluxe resorts, up to 25% on Moderates, and up to 20% on Values - some room categories will have a smaller percentage off or may not be available.

Just got home from our 2 week California trip, which included DISNEYLAND and Disney's California Adventure - Carsland was exceptional :-). We also visited San Diego, Los Angeles, Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon National Park, Yosemite National Park and San Francisco. It was a fantastic trip! I will be posting more Disneyland and California pictures and touring info later :-)

Yay! Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party tickets went on sale this morning. The ticket prices for MNSSHP start at $62.00 for adults and $57.0 for children 3-9 and for MVMCP $67.00 for adults and $62.00 for children 3-9. You can book over the phone at 1-407-W-Disney or online at waltdisneyworld.com.

MNSSHP September Dates:
1, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 26, 28

MNSSHP October Dates:
2, 3, 5, 9. 10, 13, 16, 17, 19, 21, 23, 24, 26, 28, 30, 31

MVMCP November Dates:
7, 10, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 30

MVMCP December Dates:
2,4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19

The official hours for these events is 7:00 pm to 12:00 am, but you can actually enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 pm with your official party tickets :-)

**Last Year U.K visitors could not purchase the special events tickets on-line until about a week after they were released.

**I will suggest that you don't link the MNSSHP and MVMCP tickets to your Magic Bands. Make sure they send you the separate hard-ticket cards, don't do will-call. The official party time for the MNSSHP and MVMCP is 7 pm to 12 am, but you can actually enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4 pm with your valid MNSSHP and MVMCP ticket. Last year, people who loaded their MNSSHP and MVMCP tickets on to their Magic Bands were not being let into the parks early, as the card/band readers at the park entrances were giving an "invalid" code. People were having to go to guest services and have their tickets "removed" from their Magic Bands and given a physical ticket to enter before the official party time.

FREE DINING UPDATE!!!! I have had some calls and messages from TA friends and Disney bloggers that, Chase Disney Visa is confirming that the Visa Free Dining promo will be released tomorrow and to the general public on May 7. They are even giving out the booking promo codes: D365N for Moderate and Deluxe resorts and V973K for Value resorts. Normally, you just have to give them your Disney Visa Card number to book, and don't need the actual booking codes, but I think this is a really strong indication that the offer will actually start tomorrow and the general public FD offer on May 7! Of course, take everything as a rumor until the "official" Disney announcement ;-)

No, Disney Visa Free Dining offer today:-( Disney phone reps are saying no Visa offer, but that it will come out for the general public next week. Of course, that's probably just another rumor too :-) Last Fall they did not have a Visa Free Dining offer and it went straight to the general public, so that might be the case again this year. I will NOT be listening so closely to Brazilian rumors anymore! lol! I'm sure a lot of people are disappointed this morning, but the discount should be released by next week, but that's why I always say, nothing is official until Disney releases it - I even mentioned I thought it was weird the GP offer would come out on a Wednesday and 6 days after the proposed Visa offer. Some people are speculating that the resort bookings were too high to have a Disney Visa AND a General Public FD offer this year. Anyway, I'll keep this page updated with the latest info when I hear it :-) Hope everyone has a magical day!

FREE DINING UPDATE: Yesterday afternoon I saw some information posted by a Brazilian travel agent pertaining to the 2014 Free Dining dates and booking information. In the past, the U.K offers have NEVER reflected or coinsided with the U.S. FD promos, but the South American Free Dining promo/discounts have been very similar or the exact same as the U.S. Free Dining promos. So, I was waiting to see if any U.S. sites or bloggers picked it up and, by last night, I saw the South American FD dates shared on a number of blogs and pages. Though this is all rumor until the official dates are released from Disney, these dates will probably be pretty firm since the promo is supposed to open for booking on May 1 for Disney Visa Card holders. The upcoming FD promo will now, most likely, cover these dates:

August 31 - October 3
October 26 - November 1
November 9 - November 20
December 12 - December 23

Yes, I KNOW, Disney does not usually release the August - December Free Dining dates all at one time, it is usually two separate offers. BUT, Disney did do a large release like this once before in 2010. On July 6, 2010, they released a Free Dining promo that covered select weeks from August 15, 2010 - September 29, 2011. So, it is plausible that they could release Free Dining dates into December of this year with the May 1, FD release. Of course, I'm still slightly skeptical of some of the info. They are listing the General Public Free Dining release as Wednesday, May 7, which is strange because there has never, in 10 years, been a General Public Free Dining promo released on a Wednesday and the GP FD offer usually comes 3 to 4 days after the Disney Visa FD promo is released, not 6 days after. And, I'm wondering why the December dates don't pick up until December 12? The first OR second week of December IS usually blacked out for the FD promo, but not both. The early December FD black out dates usually coincide with the annual Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading tournaments and those dates are generally blacked out. The Pop Warner dates for this year are December 6 - 13, 2014, so I'm surprised November 30 - December 5 are not included.

The best news is that we should only have to wait about 2 more days for confirmation of all this Free Dining info! Hang in there, the wait is almost over, friends :-)

Hmmm, in the last few hours I've had two other Blogger friends message me and say they heard the Disney Visa FREE DINING promo will be released on May 1 and I also just saw that release date posted by Chip & Co., a Disney fan site. Looks like we might be waiting another couple of weeks for the FREE DINING dates to be released - I hope not! But, if the Disney Visa dates are released tomorrow, I'll post it here on my page :-)

Wow! Everyone is anxiously awaiting the next Free Dining promo release. I've gotten a lot of emails and messages and most of them are about possible release dates, promo dates and how to apply the discount to your reservation.

The next possible Free Dining promo could release as early as tomorrow for Disney Visa holders or on Monday, April 21, with the general public offer following a few days later. This offer will most likely cover dates between August 27 - September 24, 2014, give or take a few days. If you check in by the last day of a Free Dining promo you can have discount applied to your entire stay up to 14 nights - your check IN date has to fall within the promo dates. Typically the value resorts receive the Quick Service dining plan with a FD promo and the moderate and deluxe resorts will receive the Basic/Regular dining plan as part of the FD promo. You can pay the difference and upgrade your plan - Disney doesn't ever turn down your money ;-) These are the upgrade costs per night of stay:

Quick Service to Basic DDP: $19.02 per adult, $3.13 per child
Quick Service to Deluxe DDP: $65.30 per adult, $13.76 per child
Basic to Deluxe DDP: $46.28 per adult, $10.63 per child

The October - December Free Dining dates most likely will not be released with the upcoming FD promo. Those dates should be released in July, possibly early August. I haven't seen or heard any indication that Free Dining will not be offered for this timeframe again this year. The economy is still in a recession and the Free Dining dates offered have remained steady since after the initial 2009 October - December FD promo date "windfall":

Oct. - Dec. possible FD check in dates 2009: 67
Oct. - Dec. possible FD check in dates 2010: 37
Oct. - Dec. possible FD check in dates 2011: 35
Oct. - Dec. possible FD check in dates 2012: 41
Oct. - Dec. possible FD check in dates 2013: 41

And if you factor in the ability to check in on the last day of a FD promo and apply it to your entire vacation, up to 14 nights, the October - December FD promos covers the majority of dates in that timeframe.

The dates for the October - December, 2014 Free Dining promo will most likely cover the following dates, give or take a day or two:

September 29 - October 3
October 18 - November 1
November 10 - 21
November 30 - December 5
December 14 - 20

Of course, all dates are speculation until Disney releases the official dates and the FD packages are open for booking.

The WDW blogs and fan pages are going crazy with FREE DINING rumors this week. There is a lot of speculation that the Disney Visa Free Dining promo dates could be released as early as this Thursday, April 17 or next Monday, April 21, with the general public Free Dining promo to follow a few days later. The promo dates are being wildly speculated, but it looks like the FD promo dates for this offer will cover approximate check in dates of August 27 - September 24, give or take a day or two. I know a lot of people are also looking for the October - December FD promo dates, but those dates are not usually announced until July, sometimes August. Of course, this is all speculation and rumors and no dates are official until Disney releases the FD dates and packages. If I hear of any other dates or FD info, I'll post here. Hopefully, we will see something Thursday, but if not, Monday looks good :-)
