r each client's satisfaction and happiness, and their whole heart to creating these uniquely personal expressions. Starting in Virginia in the 1970s, Joyce and partner, Pamela, opened Aera Catering, a company that also coordinated weddings. Having access to spectacular events held at The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, where she worked as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, fueled the early desire to create fabulous, personal, one of a kind, memorable special events. Later in San Francisco at the Grand Hyatt, Union Square, and at The Ritz-Carlton hotels, weddings became the focus of her career and a love relationship was borne. Working in the corporate environment with excellent support staff, many lasting lessons were learned in vendor relationship, logistics, timelines and ex*****on of events. Later still, Joyce worked as Senior Task Force Catering and Conference Services Manager for several Ritz-Carlton Hotels. In all she has planned and orchestrated weddings at six Ritz-Carlton Hotels: in Kapalua, Maui, Half Moon Bay, California, Denver, Colorado, the Naples, Florida, Beach Resort, Bachelor Gulch and the Naples, Florida Golf Resort. Additionally, she has planned, consulted on, and coordinated weddings in nine states including Virginia, Florida, Colorado, Hawaii, Washington, Montana, Arizona, Missouri, Massachusetts and California. At the present time Green Mountain Gatherings focuses on just four to six weddings per year depending on complexity and logistics, and travel anywhere is always a possibility.
