Sad to see that Taste of Franklin is taking a hiatus this year :(

But confirms that not offering food tours this year was the right move. We want to support local businesses and not overwhelm them.

I encourage you to still go out and try all of the deliciousness and delightfulness that Franklin has to offer. Please remember to be patient and be kind. :)

Franklin’s popular Taste of Franklin restaurant sampling event won’t be held this summer due to restaurant staffing shortages.

03/15/2022

After careful consideration we must share the unfortunate news that we will most likely be unable to run A Bite of History Food Tours in Franklin in Spring/Summer 2022.

We are still hopeful that we’ll be able to offer them again at some point in the future.

If you have a gift card you would like to exchange, please reach out to us at [email protected]

We love Franklin with a passion but life keeps taking us further and further away at the moment. If you have tourism experience and are interested in partnering on this fun new venture, please reach out to us at the email above. We’d be happy to discuss how we can keep showcasing all of the wonders of Franklin!

Thank you all for your support on our journey so far. We’re sorry for any inconvenience and disappointment this news may cause. We look forward to hopefully being back soon.

Hope everyone is staying nice and warm today! Our original plan was to launch our first tours last weekend, but 20 degree temperatures aren't ideal for a food tour with a lot of walking.

But it is ideal for ice sculptures! These works of art from Franklin on Ice have had great conditions for staying beautiful in Fountain Park. Have you seen them? Which one is your favorite?

More info about a new launch date will be coming soon!

Franklin on Ice is happening right now! It's a beautiful (and chilly) day to head into Franklin for the Franklin on Ice Showcase. This annual event has been modified this year, so please wear a mask and socially distance as you walk through the park to see the ice sculptures. Don't forget about the Signature Soup and Chili Cook-off happening at restaurants around town.

Visit the Franklin, PA - Events/Marketing Office page for more info.

This photo was taken on Friday as the ice sculptures were just starting to take shape.
