Why did we choose a lantern for our logo? We are glad you asked! 😉

Our original inspiration came from Walt's lamp, which is always shining in his apartment on Main Street USA. You can see the light burning 24/7 above the fire station at Disneyland.

Many view this light as symbolizing Walt's dreams and commitment to his guests. Similarly, it represents the hopes and dreams we have for our agency and our guests.

Lamplight Travel started with a group of travel agents who found friendship in a love for Walt Disney’s dreams, a love for exploring the world, and a commitment to supporting the families that trust us with their vacations. ✨️

We just happened to be enjoying a plate of lobster nachos at Disneyland's Lamplight Lounge while brainstorming what our agency should be named and how it should feel to others. That's when we had a light bulb💡moment, and Lamplight Travel was born!

A native of Maryland’s beautiful Eastern Shore, I grew up traveling to my local Maryland, Delaware, and Carolina beaches, dreaming of the day that I would get to see Cinderella Castle in person. It took me 26 years to get there but I have been returning to Walt Disney World to see my beloved Mickey Mouse several times a year ever since! I will never forget the moment that my children saw Cinderella Castle for the first time and I will never grow weary of helping other families plan for those core memory moments! Hello! I am Melissa Smith and I am excited to be a part of the Lamplight Travel team!

Traveling has always been a part of my life. As a child, my parents took my brother and I on a road trip every summer. Now, I travel with my own family, making precious memories that will last a lifetime. We enjoy visiting Walt Disney World, the beaches on the Florida Gulf Coast, the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, and local towns in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Over the years, I have planned many trips for friends, family, and coworkers. I enjoy researching the destination and selecting fun and unique experiences to make the trip memorable. Helping others plan their vacations led me to become a travel agent in 2021. As your agent, my goal is to help you plan your dream vacation and offer tips and recommendations along the way. I want to learn about you and your family to ensure your trip meets your needs and checks the boxes for your must-do experiences!

Outside of travel, my life is full of adventures raising 3 kids with my husband on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Most weekends you can find us cheering for them at the baseball or softball fields. ✨️Meet Your Agent- Holly Averette✨️

Hi, I'm Holly and I've had a passion for travel as long as I can remember! Our world is a beautiful creation full of unique cultures, amazing landscapes, and rich history just waiting to be discovered! In early 2016, my love of travel and planning led me to become a travel agent. With 2, soon to be 3 kids, I specialized in Disney destinations early on but you may be shocked to learn that I didn't grow up going to Disney, in fact, my first trip was for my honeymoon in 2008 (little did my husband know that would be the first of MANY trips we would take!). Since then, I've worked to further expand my knowledge and offerings in order to better serve my guests and help them plan a wide variety of destinations.

I love coffee, baking, and spending time with my family. I'm a homeschool mom and teach my 3 kids (ages 17, 10, and 7), so I love incorporating educational experiences into our travels when possible! Some of my favorite travel memories include riding down Main Street USA with Mary Poppins, swimming in a cenote in Mexico, spending 3 weeks in England as young teenager, and relaxing with family Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort.

✨️Meet Your Agent- Tanner Gamble✨️

My name is Tanner and I've been enjoying traveling since road trips with my parents began in the early 1980s. We visited places all over the United States, but I particularly loved visiting Walt Disney World in 1984 and driving almost cross country through the plains and deserts. I'm grateful for the many experiences with my family over the years that have included my first adventures outside of the United States in the Caribbean. I'll never forget boarding a cruise ship for the first time with my family in 2016. Another core memory is our trip to Walt Disney World with three generations in 2018 and to Alaska in 2024. What memories were made!

Though you don't have to invite me on your travels, I engage like I'm going to be along for the ride! I want to get to know my clients interests so I can make recommendations that are meaningful. I love when clients tell me that they "didn't know what they would have done without me!" Vacations are an investment, so it's my goal for you to maximize your time doing what you love with your family to make magical memories!

In my free time, you'll find me outdoors and traveling as much as I can. I'm not one to sit down for very long. My favorite vacation memories include seeing my children's faces as they experienced something new for the first time like walking into Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida or riding on Guardians of the Galaxy.
