Engaging Nature as inspiration for the rejuvenation of Spirit and the renewal of Hope

Our Gathering Place

Where Pigs Fly Farm is a special

gathering place created on a simple, forty acre farm in Indiana, surrounded by woods, cornfields, meandering creeks and gently rolling hills. Time spent on the farm, no matter what the activity, is designed to bring rejuvenation and renewal, with the natural setting further enhancing your experience with us. Tom and Anne Pigman, and their three children, open their home, invite you into the life of the farm, and serve as your gracious hosts. Currently, our 1860’s farm house serves as the main gathering place, with a great room, a dining room, kitchen access, an old-fashioned wrap-around porch and plenty of outdoor space, of course.

General information

Your Unique Possibilities: We offer opportunities for individuals, families, youth and small groups. Until sleeping quarters are established, those willing to camp are welcome to plan overnight retreats. Future plans include accommodations for up to 30 people. We offer custom-designed retreats specific to your needs as well as open-invitation events to the larger community that lift the Spirit and touch the Soul. Facilitation: We will be glad to create an experience unique for your group. Tom and Anne Pigman are both trained facilitators and offer creative community building and leadership development opportunities through TAP Resources. Community Groups: Our facilities are available for your group, for a one day workshop, a weekend retreat, or a week day meeting. Bring your own staff and retreat plan or let us co-create and facilitate your retreat for you. One day retreats can accommodate groups as small as 10 or as large as 50. Overnight retreats can accommodate up to 24 people in tents. Youth groups are more than welcome. Youth: Beginning in 2011, two weeks of the summer will be set aside for Youth Farm Camp, where we will host 20 youth for a week long, unforgettable experience of farm life. If you have a son or daughter who loves animals, nature, and doesn’t mind getting a little messy, this camp is for them. They take part in daily life on the farm, as well as enjoy local trips to explore the natural beauty that is a well-hidden secret of the Wabash River valley. Families: Come with your family for a weekend on the farm. Watch children come to life as they help take care of the animals, collect eggs for breakfast and look for wild life in the creek. Parents can enjoy some quiet time on one of the many paths, in the gardens, or napping in the hammock. We even have built in child care for those who want to “go out on the (small) town.” We can design a weekend that fits your unique needs and wishes as a family. One time events: Watch our calendar for our open community events, such as Friday Night Contra Dancing, an African Hand Drum weekend workshop, or a “Sunday Afternoon in the Country” with croquet in the field and refreshments on the wrap around porch. There’s always something going on at Where Pigs Fly Farm.
