The Lazy Moose Cottage is located in a PRIME LOCATION to enjoy Iditarod festivities without the traffic backup. Only 15-20 minutes drive TOTAL from the cottage front door to the parking lot of the Iditarod Race starting line parking! The Lazy Moose Cottage road is just north of the Community Center, you will not be in any northbound travel, which is normally backed up for hours to get to the parking lot.

The Lazy Moose Cottage is located in the ideal location to stay close to the center of it all, withoutthe traffic frustration and wasting time driving to the race. The Lazy Moose Cottage road is just north of the Community Center, where all the action takes place. This means you can drive from the cottage to the starting line in a fraction of the time, compared to everyone coming from the south, who sit in hours and hours of bumper to bumper traffic! Average commute from cottage door to parking lot of the Iditarod start is 20-25 mintues!! Cottage sleeps up to 9 people and is available to rent for the perfect Iditarod weekend getaway! Plenty of room to park multiple vehicles, RV's and trucks pulling trailers full of atvs or snow machines with ease and drive through driveways. Come relax in the hot tub after a long day of adventures or sightseeing. If you're lucky you may see the Northern Lights!

Perfect home away from home for tourists and locals alike, all year long. Full kitchen allows for meals and cocktails to be made at home during trip, saving precious relaxing time and money; instead of driving to find places to eat out all day, everyday.

Centrally located between Anchorage, Palmer, Wasilla, Willow, Talkeetna and Denali. Day trips can be taken in any direction and return to stay in one place as a "base camp".

This property is happy to accommodate to medically required and trained service animals used and able to provide medical assistance to their handler, in compliance with the ADA requirements, rules & guidelines for both the handler and business. Unfortunately, no pets or emotional support animals allowed to stay on property. However, local resources not affiliated with LMC may be able to assist in boarding pets during your stay.
