Our Story

Thanks for visiting Tushingham Wealth Strategies. Our goal is to help physicians and executives proactively plan for their retirement by serving as their “Personal CFO”, so that they may live their ideal life worry-free. Our Personal CFO service will guide you in making smart financial decisions in areas such as "late-stage" college planning, tax mitigation, and wealth management. We will also grant you access to a team of experienced professionals, ready to provide you with ongoing and coordinated advice on a technology-driven platform. Please contact us to experience the difference.

Before forming Tushingham Wealth Strategies, I accumulated two decades of experience in wealth management and corporate finance. After graduating from Pace University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance, I established my foundation on Wall Street where I spent 10 years working at Chase Manhattan Bank, Morgan Stanley, and Royal Bank of Canada in the areas of foreign exchange, financial management, and capital markets. I then moved to North Carolina in 2003 and obtained my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ certification in 2006.

I worked over 10 years at a private wealth management firm helping families plan for retirement and serving as Chief Operating Officer. While I enjoyed my time serving at the firm, I wanted something more. I wanted to develop a financial planning service that helped simplify people’s lives and empower them to obtain financial independence. That’s why I chose to establish Tushingham Wealth Strategies in 2014. The “Personal CFO” service was born.

When not serving as a financial advisor for my clients, nothing is better than family time in Wilmington, NC. My wife Kim “sells cancer”, or that’s what my kids say. She’s a director in the pharmaceutical industry. My boys, Reece and Ryder, aren’t really boys anymore. They’re both almost as tall as me, love playing guitar and basketball, and like to remind me how grey my hair is becoming.
