Alexis Levy has over 17 years experience as an Interior Designer. Throughout her career she has created a multitude of projects ranging from the redesign of existing spaces to full construction collaboration of new builds. Incorporating diverse artistic influences and technical knowledge, her projects consistently result in designs suited to the individual needs and dreams of her clients. Upon ear
ning her BA in Art History, Alexis moved to Venice, Italy and completed a fellowship program at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. It was during this program and her travels through Europe when she developed a strong interest in Architecture and Interior Design. Upon her return to New York in 1996, she enrolled in a graduate program at the New York School of Interior Design. With a Degree in Interior Design, Alexis worked for several high-end design firms in Manhattan focusing on both residential and commercial spaces. In early 2000, Alexis spent two years at the Design & Decoration Building in New York City serving as their sole resident Interior Designer. She was then recruited by Ralph Lauren’s Special Projects Group where Alexis renovated portions of the family’s private summer retreat in Montauk, NY and their Manhattan apartment. She also collaborated on the designs for the Ralph Lauren inspired guest suites at the Round Hill Resort in Jamaica. Alexis then spent 7 years in the company’s Retail Store Development Department as a member of the elite Architecture/Interiors team that designed and installed all the new Ralph Lauren retail locations worldwide. Her extensive experience and creative independent spirit eventually led Alexis to branch out on her own, founding Alexis Levy Design based in Wilton, Connecticut. Her aesthetic is varied, with a true appreciation for more than one style coupled with a keen ability to understand and incorporate her clients’ tastes / desires. Alexis’ experience runs the gamut from the new design of residential spaces and gut renovations, to commercial spaces such as lobbies, offices, restaurants and retail stores. Alexis has also designed the interiors of several luxury spaces in private yachts and aircraft. Alexis looks at each new project as an opportunity to create a unique and beautiful space, mood and lifestyle - all the while having her clients, their environment and their taste, at the forefront of her designs.
