Sad to say that Piacere has been sold and went back up to middle of the east coast. Hopely the new owner is having fun with her and using her more than I had the chance to use her when I cam back to FL.

Made it back to FL, now to get Piacere back into the water.

Back in Florida after traveling a LOT!

Made it to Niagara Falls but could not find a room near the falls so drove away from falls and found a room. The room was the worst room I have ever stayed in...paint, smell, age, bed, door only had one lock, had to put a chair in front of the door to keep from being pushed in, ceiling was sagging, rain blew under door over night getting carpet and bathroom floor well(have not stepped on wet bathroom floor in the dark for a long time), really bad but it may have been the last room within 30 miles.
Did enjoy the falls and riding my bike made it much easier.

Went today back to Coeyman's and picked up the VW. Will start packing up the boat tomorrow.

Now in Winter Harbor Marina, this is the cleanest and friendliest place on the whole trip. My internet was weak and instead of explaining why, they sent 3 guys to move my boat to a better place on the dock and the cable works here also. Then they gave me a container of blue berries as a treat. GREAT PEOPLE!

Made it to Sylvan Beach on Oneida Lake this afternoon. Will have to go look for the beach, have seen nothing but gray rocks here in NY, maybe they imported the sand for a beach.

Another fine day on the Erie canal, even if part of a lock fell off a wall onto the bow of Piacere. Going to send a copy of the picture to the NY Canal Commission to see if they want their rocks back.
May spend a couple days here Ilion.

Moved west along the canal to Canajoharie which was 8 locks, somewhat of a job. Did get one blister from a rope, but I should live with a bandage, did go to Big Lots after tied up and bought some gloves for my baby like skin hands.
Should move to Illion tomorrow, there is a Re*****on arms museum I'm told.

Moving west along the Eric canal. Stopped early today due to weather coming in.

This bulk hauler came up the Hudson River passing about a football field away from the Coeymans Marina.

Finally made it out of marina and everything seems to be good with Piacere. The VW will have to stay behind for a while.
The trip north on the Hudson River was interesting with the size of ships being that far inland.
Relearned how to do the locks and got a 'good job' from the lock guy on the Federal Lock on the Hudson.
The next 5 locks raised Piacere up about 100' above the Hudson River level.

Now living on the boat at the Coeymans Marina. Everything is out of the car and on the boat. Not put away yet but just on the boat. Marina did pressure wash the outside of boat but I cleaned the inside, well almost cleaned.
