🛂 🤔 Pondering passports? Although a birth certificate might suffice for closed-loop cruises (those that begin and end at the same U.S. port), a passport allows for smoother processing at international ports and can be a lifesaver should you need to fly back to the U.S. from a foreign port in an emergency. 🚨 Plus, some ports require passports if you want to disembark and explore. 🚖

I personally won't travel out of the country without a passport. Required or not, there are just too many things that could happen out there!

We now know WHEN and HOW you will be able to experience Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!

Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World will officially open on June 28th 2024 🥳🥳 Here are a few tips and things to know before heading to the Bayou!

1. Drop on in-to virtual queue...
When Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens on June 28, it will use a virtual queue. Guests can request to join the virtual queue via the My Disney Experience app at one of two times: 7 a.m. or 1 p.m. While a standby queue will not be available during the attraction’s initial opening days, we expect to open a standby queue soon after the attraction’s opening.

2. ... or purchase Disney Genie+ service.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will also be included as a Lightning Lane entrance in Disney Genie+ service*. Purchasing this service on the My Disney Experience app helps guests get to some of their favorite attractions faster through Lightning Lane entrances and includes digital downloads of select Disney PhotoPass attraction photos taken in the park on the day of purchase. Guests may check the app on the day of their visit for pricing and availability.

3. Smile for the camera!
No party is complete without pictures. As guests make their way through the bayou to get to Tiana’s party, Disney PhotoPass Service will serve up a special photo when they’re almost there.

4. Be prepared to get wet!
At some point when guests drop on in to Tiana’s party, there’s a strong chance riders may get wet. While most guests will appreciate the refreshing cool down, others may want to bring their rain gear.

5. Shop new attraction merchandise
After riding the new attraction, we can bet guests will want to take a piece of the bayou home with them. Starting June 28, guests can find the collections for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and “The Princess and the Frog”-inspired merchandise at the Emporium at Magic Kingdom. And, shortly after the attraction debuts, the merchandise will hop over to Critter Co-Op in Frontierland.

6. Try some of Tiana’s Famous Beignets!
A trip to the bayou is never complete without some good eats and sweet treats. Among the food and beverage offerings we look forward to sharing soon will be Tiana’s Famous Beignets, of course. Beginning opening day, Golden Oak Outpost and The Friar’s Nook will be serving up these light, sweet, and fluffy beignets drizzled with honey and powdered sugar. These will be available for a limited time only so let the good times roll.

HAPPY WORLD RAT DAY 😂

🐀🧀🇫🇷 Leave it to Disney to get us all hyped up to celebrate a rat. 🤣 Of course I mean Remy from “Ratatouille” and the area of the France pavilion in EPCOT dedicated to the film!

This place is not just about the ride, it’s like stepping into a live action version of the movie! Walking around you’ll spot all sorts of cool nods to the film and oh so many details! And the food? Délicieux! I like to imagine Little Chef himself is in the La Crêperie kitchen whipping up his signature dishes. 🥘

I love that you can get crepes at the take out window if you don’t want to spend the time dining in! My family is too active for table service meals.

🎞️🍿If it’s been a while since you’ve seen the movie, consider watching it before your trip so you can appreciate the details of this area even more.

Out at Rafiki’s Planet Watch you'll once again be able to meet Timon and Rafiki 🥳 and learn how to draw Lion King characters at the Animation Experience. 🦁

EPCOT will be FULLY reimagined on June 10th! That's right guys walls will be down 🥳 Not only that! Epcot is celebrating summer June 10th - Sept 6th with a new summer sing-along featuring the beloved songs and story of “Encanto” This new limited-time show, “¡Celebración Encanto!” runs several times throughout the day and will not only invite guests and their families to sing along with some of their favorite songs, but they’ll also spot Mirabel and Bruno on the newly opened CommuniCore Plaza stage. 🤯

HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS is celebrating the release of Inside Out 2 (June 14th) with a JOY meet and greet in Pixar Plaza! After spending a day delighting in shopping, discovering fun activities, and savoring diverse flavors at Disney Springs, guests can turn their eyes to the skies above the West Side with a show amongst the stars. “Disney Dreams That Soar” will run nightly from May 24 through Sept. 2!

We have seen several new TICKET ONLY promotions released this week! We often see these over at Universal but Disney tends to hold onto their promotional pricing for packages so it's really nice to see these come out!

First up, Disney has a 4 day 4 park Magic Ticket for $396+tax per adult, it's important to note that this is 1 day at EACH of the 4 parks!

Sticking with Disney they also released a 3 day 3 park ticket for $267+tax This will contain 1 ticket to each Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. This one does NOT allow access to Magic Kingdom!

Disney released a Florida resident option as well! 3 days for $219+tax or 4 days for $235+tax🙃

Not to be outdone, Universal said "Hold my Butterbeer" and gave us 4 days - 2 theme parks starting at $75+tax per day per adult! 🤯

1️⃣ 🥏🏍️🌐 If there’s one thing you need to know about TRON Lightcycle/Run it is that you can’t simply wait in line to ride it. You heard that right, there is no standby line. There are two ways to “enter the grid” and both require the use of the My Disney Experience app. Here are your options:

Virtual Queue: For most guests, there will be two opportunities to join a virtual queue-one in the morning and in the afternoon. It’s competitive and fills up in nanoseconds. You need fast fingers, luck and tips.

Individual Lightning Lane: You can buy your way on, which is more likely to be available but again, it’s not guaranteed. The cost can also add up real quick.

I find the best way to get a Virtual Queue is to be on your My Disney Experience and confirm your party a few minutes prior. I normally refresh every minute just to make sure nothing silly happens. Then I watch the World Clock and at 6:59:45 I continually refresh until I get that join button.

🤑 I can’t answer if I think the ride is worth buying an Individual Lightning Lane, that’s subjective. However, I can state with authority that if you want to ride it and don’t get the opportunity to, that’s going to sting and you don’t want that. 👎

And if getting giggles from your littles is what you’re after, you need to get on Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters, it’s so fun! The whole family will enjoy spinning and twirling (at just the right speed-no hurling) to Italian inspired songs inside dancing cars. Yes, dancing cars! 💃🏻

I’ve probably said this before, but it’s worth saying again, ride all the Cars Land attractions, including Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadster both day and night! The park literally glows! 🌟

💣TRUTH BOMB “EPCOT isn’t really for kids” is OLD SCHOOL THINKING! But even before Nemo, Anna & Elsa, Remy and Moana showed up there was Figment. This lovable and sometimes mischievous purple dragon is the very embodiment of imagination and a kindred spirit to playful children of all ages. You’ll find him at EPCOT’s Imagination Pavilion which is a wonderland for kids, offering a fun attraction exploring the senses and a mix of interactive experiences, creative play areas, learning and character meets in the ImageWorks-”What If” Labs as you exit the ride. 💜💛❤️

My kids love all the Sound elements. Did you know you can even design and email yourself your own Figment??

🫣 Don’t let the often short wait times fool you into thinking it’s not worth a stop here. If you have small children or big fans of Figment in your bunch, this is the place to be! Do we have any Figment fans among us? Drop a purple heart in the comments! 💜⤵️

🎥🍿🚂 Bigger isn’t always better and Disneyland proves that yet again with their version of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Now, the rides on both coasts are essentially identical, but the queue is where the west coast steals the spotlight!

The El Capitoon Theater is home to a walk through “Mickey Through the Ears” exhibit which is full of props, replicas, hidden Mickeys and Easter eggs from Mickey Mouse cartoons over the last 100 years. There is so much to look at (and experience!), you may not even want to use Disney Genie+ for this attraction. I won’t spoil it too much, but take a look at the prices on the two concession registers. $11.18 and $19.28 together are Mickey Mouse’s birthday (11/18/1928)!

Maybe it's just me, but elaborate queue lines like this just seem to make the wait go so much faster. There is just so much to look at!

🌍🦍🦛🦤World Wildlife Day is the perfect time to tip our Mickey Ears to the wonderful Cast Members at Disney’s Animal Kingdom who have taken their heart for conservation and animal protection to a whole new level. These Cast Members have such a passion for their jobs and radiate joy when they are able to speak to guests and flex their knowledge. Anyone else ready for the warm weather to be here.... and stay? Our weather in Southern Minnesota has been all over the place lately. I feel like Mother Nature is on some sort of crazy Roller Coaster and we are just along for the ride. Last week was almost 70, then we hit negative windchills a few days ago and now?? 🧐 Now it's 70 again, the kids are running around in shorts and tank tops and want to SWIM... buuut we live in Minnesota so we still have MONTHS before anything outdoor will open. 🥺
You see me talk about BIG destinations like Walt Disney World and Universal, and WARM destinations like Punta Cana and Cozumel but what about something LOCAL? Did you know I could do that too?? 🤯
Todays mission?!? Find a local hotel with an indoor waterpark where some of my favorite clients can unwind and relax for a few days.
