And now the east maple turned red! Thankful to see and wonder at this glorious beauty! Not sure if Dave’s great grandmother planted this or the Dierks family. Just grateful they did for future generations! A fellow Wisnerite used to tap these trees to make maple syrup. Miss him. Thanks, Lord, for people and other living things that make our world better. Amen.

I appreciated both Mr. etter’s typing class and his accounting class. He allowed me to work ahead of the class and complete two years of accounting in one year. His enabling this benefitted me in many accounting classes in college and a lifetime of using both the good typing and accounting skills!
The last I saw him he was doing work for the Gideons, and I stopped at his house later north of Wayne. I had not been familiar with the Gideon ministry which importantly placed Bibles in many accessible places reaching many people with the Good news of Jesus’ love, life, sacrificial death and resurrection.
I thank God he was an influential part of my life and pray for comfort and peace for his family.

No giant spiders out here! I only found one biblical reference to spiders, and it was only in the King James language, but spiders live everywhere even in king’s palaces! I also heard on the radio yesterday that God has given spiders the ability to produce an oil on their legs so they don’t get caught in their own sticky web!
Thanks, Lord, that you have prepared us, also, so that we are equipped to do what you have designed us to do. Help us to do it all with the oil of your love.

Start a post then touch the emoji button at the bottom of your keyboard and use that search bar for “blue square”.
When you touch it, it inserts at the beginning of your post.
I moved my cursor to before the square to add the hashtag.

This wonderful cancer research fund raiser event is about 10 miles from the Wisner Haus! Next June!
OWH-“The Cattlemen’s Ball of Nebraska, which raises money for cancer research, is slated to take place in Pender on June 2 and 3.
Pender is about 90 miles northwest of Omaha.

The event is held in a different location each year, giving Nebraska communities a chance to showcase their area while raising money for research at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center in Omaha.
The 2022 event was held in Weeping Water.

This year marks the 25th year for the Cattlemen’s Ball. Since it started in 1998, it has raised more than $17 million for cancer research. The bulk of proceeds go to the Buffett Cancer Center, with 10% returned to local communities for health and wellness initiatives.

The 2023 ball will be spearheaded by host families Kent and Colleen Weborg, Craig and Darlene Weborg and Brian and Renee Weborg, along with their children.
About 400 to 500 volunteers from the area are needed to help with the event.

Organizers hope to raise $2 million.
Activities for this year’s event include a 5K race, a golf tournament, a beef experience tent, a prime rib dinner and live music.
Tickets are capped at 1,500 for a two-day pass and 3,000 for a Saturday-only pass. For more information, visit cattlemensball.com.”

Surprised by “Surprise Lilies”! Our supposed to be small lilac has overgrown some areas, but that hasn’t stopped our Lycoris often called “Painted Ladies” or “Surprise Lilies”!
