While on layover for a private haul I found this handsome ancient Burr Oak to park under in Bristol IN. It is at least as old as Indiana staehood. Based upon its location it has even witnessed freedom seekers pass through.

Eclipse Day had amazing moments in addition lunar solar allignment. The best moment was when an eagle soared directly over us 10 minutes before totality. There was a nested Killdeer in our compound. Had we not been there to guard the nest it surely would have perished. Green Bus Mini also experienced mini eclipses in Columbus. Thanks Norene Keller for capturing it.

I can't wait to find what our next amazing moments are.

I will remember Eclipse Day for the rest of my life! Green Bus Mini and many riders went to National Great Lakes Museum, Toledo OH. Totality exceeded my expectations, which were already really high. Enjoy the first of our event pics.

It is time to dispel some eclipse myths

Myth: "I saw an eclipse. The sky got a little dark. No big deal"
Truth: Total eclipse is different. It has been 300 years since a total eclipse has followed this path. And it turns completely dark.

Myth: "It will probably rain or be cloudy and nobody will see it."
Truth: Based upon weather data of the past ten years, part cloudy is most likely. The rapid temperature drop dissapates the clouds as I witnessed in 2017 and 1983.

Myth: "All the hype is just to get people afraid and spend money."
Truth: Human population has never been so high and many of them realize this is a once in a lifetime spectacle. Resources will be strained, unless you have prepared ahead of time.

Myth: "Karmic attatchments get reset." "Earthquakes follow its path."
Truth: This is not magic, though it will feel magical. This is not a bringer of doom, though it can look scary. This is a very predictable periodic phenomenon of a giant shadow shading a tiny portion of our home while traveling really fast.

Green Christmas lights bus part 3. First stop lights at Steuben County Fairgrounds and Steuben County Event Center with lots of lights sponsored by community businesses. Second stop Cameron Memorial Community Hospital and Rumsey's Snow Village. This is no ordinary snow village. There are surprises everywhere and three different I-Spy challenges to try.

Green Christmas Lights Bus part 2 visited Goshen IN. There was one epic neighborhood display that included it's own radio broadcast and lights synchronized to music! Shanklin Park also has a lovely display. Should we return to Goshen when 4H Fairground is lit up?

Shipshewana's Lights of Joy does not disappoint. There is fairy tales, whimsy, tribute, imagination, story telling. My favorites are the animated diaramas.
