We had a cancelation for next week (first week of April) at the cabin if anyone’s looking to crane watch! We’re right in the heart of crane migration here on the banks of the platte. Still hundreds of cranes around!

Exciting developments are taking place at Mama Jen’s Getaway!! We have an excavating crew in clearing dead trees and making a nice camping area & an extra beach area for the camp grounds. We will soon be taking applications for private, primitive, annual (April 15-October 15) camping spots for the 2024 season. (We are only open to annual contracts.) We hope to have all that ready by next April!!! If you want your name on the list we will be taking deposits soon..first deposit will get to pick their spot when it’s completed.

Update!!!

During the month of July & possibly August we are going to have some exciting developments occurring! We are having an excavator come in and clear some trees to make a better space on the rest of the 12 acres to the east of the gate. With this being said, please know this should not bother anyone as he won’t start until mid-mornings most days avoiding waking anyone! We do ask that the path to and beyond the gate be left clear of any vehicles so he can get in and out. If you have any further questions, please reach out… We appreciate all your help so that we can develop this even more to allow more guests to have fun on our property!! Hopefully by next summer we will have private camping spots available for locals who want to rent a spot for the whole season!

If anyone is looking to book the cabin to sit in the river, kayak, 4wheel, fish, swim, have a family or friend gathering on the newly extended patio with a fire pit, grill & bar or play sand volleyball on our new court……or maybe even just a quick getaway..summer dates are filling up fast & the pickings are getting slim! Here are the dates we have open yet! Right now it’s open :
May 24-26, May 29-June 1, June 4-8, July 17-20, July 23-24, august 1-3, august 6-19 for summer months..check in is usually 3 to 4 pm and check out us 11 am ..

Exciting news!!

We can now take private bookings to avoid some of the platform fees! FOR now we will be taking payments through Venmo & having guests sign a waiver& a rental lease through email as we’re working on a permanent website and payment system!
Contact me for further info. Rates are generally around $400 for week nights and $500/night on Friday through Sunday with no additional fees (NO cleaning fees, we cover the tax!!).
