Did you know.....?

A lot of people misunderstand what travel agents do.

What you may not know....travel agents aren't paid if you don't book with them. Travel agents are not paid an hourly wage. They are only compensated on trips they book, and only AFTER you return home from traveling. Payments are made by the partnering hotels, resorts, cruise companies, and other travel suppliers. That Mexico vacation, cruise, all-inclusive resort stay, etc. that you book on your own could have been booked by a travel professional for the same price if not CHEAPER and, you would have helped them build their business.

Wait times during the holiday parties are so much shorter than a regular day. I took this snapshot when standing in line for the 60 minutes at Slinky. They had to stop the ride for a little bit and it backed up the line a little bit. I will say that even not moving for 5 minutes, we only waited 30 minutes and were at the back of the line. We ended up riding several more times back to back, meaning we got off and walked back through the line with a 2-5 minute wait.

Travel Tip Tuesday! Be sure to always check your weather ahead of a trip. Whether it is Disney, Universal, a cruise, or more....weather can be unpredictable. Mostly, be sure to pack your ponchos! For a family of 6 at Disney, ponchos are $65. Don't ask me how I know....not that I had to buy them at Animal Kingdom last week because I forgot ours on the living room couch when we were packing! Ugh! 🤣

Seriously great rates! I am cruising the Wonder of the Seas sailing with some of our amazing friends who also took advantage of this incredible deal! After all, I am a group cruise specialist!

I promised I would update from our vacation. I know it’s been awhile, but guess what? I left my phone in the Dominican Republic after an excursion. My phone was reunited with me recently!! Now that I was reunited with my photos from our trip…I share with you our favorite excursion.

ATV’s in Aruba! The island is small at only 20 miles long and at its widest, 6 miles. It’s such an easy island to explore with an off road ATV! I highly recommend it!!! We stopped at some famous stops along the way to soak in the views: Baby Beach, Arikok National Park, California Lighthouse and Natural Bridge!

At the beginning of July, I had the pleasure of visiting Sandals Dunn’s River in Ocho Rios Jamaica. Little did I know that hurricane Beryl was going to be hitting the island during my visit, leaving me stranded for lack of a better term at the resort, unable to fly back to the United States. The care for which the Sandals Resort and their General Manager, Derek Meany took of us was incredible!!! I included some of the pictures from my stay to show you the incredible care they took! I mean they gave us FREE board games to keep us occupied during the storm knowing we would be without internet and tv!
