Critical Photoshop Keyboard Shortcuts to Make Your Life Easier

For all of you who know me, I'm old school, this is how I have always worked in my creative programs. Adobe Illustrator also has it's own set of shortcuts. So much quicker and easier to learn these rather than fishing through the menus up top.

If your Photoshop workflow feels clunky, it could be because you aren't utilizing Photoshop keyboard shortcuts efficiently. Ben Willmore has the key.

The spread of 3D models creates intellectual-property problems

Wow. A buddy of mine, Tim Holbrook, posted this and it does open up a lot in the design community. We are always looking at ways to streamline things, but still respect and understand copyright and trademarked material. Good little read and something all of us designers need to keep in our back pocket to make sure we don't break those rules.

This has been a long time coming. I know a number of people who still use Flash in conjunction with After Effects when working with graphics and lower thirds when doing videography. That can create a crinkle in some people's workflow, but it has been rumored and talked about for years. Now, there is finally a timeline to work on new techniques to replace this time held application.

RIP, Flash.

Well I have to say, this will be very interesting to see how long before Adobe can integrate this into Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. More and more I am taking photos with my phone and then manipulating them for projects. Hope this isn't something that is going to hinder that process.

I try to explain this to younger people interested in going into this business. When I started in 1987, this was how I put together ads and slicks, it was right at the beginning of computers coming into play.... 30 years ago. Wow, the same age as Adobe Illustrator. Coincidence? I think not.
