Hi Friends! Tracey was able to speak with Carnival and get an extension on the first deposit (now due Aug. 2nd). We also added several cabins. We had quite a few already booked. We have friends and family that are waiting to see if the vaccine mandate is lifted, this will give us a few more months to see what direction Carnival is going in. With the lifting today of all international flights no longer requiring testing to come into the US., it is only a matter of weeks/months before we see the vaccine mandate lifted.

First two tips that will literally help you save hundreds on your cabin.

#1-Carnival Gift Cards-If you are a member of AARP (if not, join. Membership is only $9-$16 per year) you can purchase Carnival gift cards at 10% off. Example you will pay $90 for a $100 gift card or $450 for a $500 gift card. You can use these to put your deposit down, pay on or off your cruise. When you call Tracey @ Travel Escapes that will be your method of payment. You can also use these on board for your drink packages, they can be added to your sign and sail account etc. The limit right now is 5 per month. If anyone needs any help finding them on the AARP website, please reach out to me. These are digital cards so you can immediately use the funds

#2-Carnival Barclay Master Card-I highly recommend getting one. After your first purchase (https://www.carnival.com/carnival-mastercard) you will receive a $200 statement credit. I recommend putting $200 down on your cruise and they will credit the entire amount back to your statement. Interest rate on Carnival Cruise bookings is 0% for 6 months. In addition, you get a 10% statement credit when you book a Carnival Excursion. No annual fees.

I would recommend starting with step 2, apply for the card, call Tracey and put $200 down and you will be refunded every bit of that in the form of a statement credit.

Hey Friends! Several of you have inquired on how/when/where to make your 1st deposit. These instructions are for 2 people in a cabin. If you are going to have a triple or quad, please call me (470-223-9216) and I will go over the details.

First deposit of $50 per person is due by June 11th.
You will need to call Tracey @ Travel Escapes. Please let her know you are a SASSY Sailor, or you can just say you are part of Joyce's group.

Before calling make sure you are aware of which type of cabin you are interested in (Interior-Ocean View-Balcony or Suite). Also, watch my next post on how to save some money right away! I will be sharing tips daily regarding cabins, tours, excursions, hotels, t-shirts, events etc..

Good Morning! I created this group a month ago just to get the info out. Starting today, I will post daily. Please send me any questions or topics. After a very long hiatus (which was out of our control), Sassy Sailors are sailing again. We are going on the newest and biggest ship the amazing Mardi Gras. The itinerary is a Western Caribbean (my favorite) with 3 ports of call. I will update information daily and can answer any questions you may have (if I don't have the answers, I will find out from Tracey @ Travel Escapes). Once again, we have set it up where you can make very affordable payments along the way.

We have reserved 32 cabins-20 interior and 12 balcony, we can add to that inventory once those are booked.

For every 8 cabin booked, we get a free berth. That berth will be divided amongst the cabins and will lower your cost. The more cabins the less we pay. That simple.

This is one of my favorite itineraries and goes as follows:

Sat-Port Canaveral (Orlando) Embarkation
Sun-Fun Day at Sea
Monday-Cozumel, Mexico
Tuesday-Costa Maya
Wednesday-Mahogany Bay (my favorite port of all time)
Thursday-Fun Day at Sea
Friday-Fun Day at Sea
Saturday- Port Canaveral (Orlando) Debarkation

Non- refundable Deposit due per person: $50.00 June 13, 2022

Second Deposit due: $200.00 Jan, 20th, 2023

Balance due March 22, 2023

Depending on your cabin choice :

$944.00 (interior) up to $1,294 per person

Third and Fourth person in a cabin is reduced.
