After that, I will be changing the route so if you’ve been wanting to go on the tour, NOW is your chance!

This is a super fun tour in a double-decker bus where you’re only with other locals, learning about Miami and simultaneously playing trivia for a chance to win some prizes! 🥳

I am deeply honored to receive a Mobility Champion Award from ✨

It’s a privilege to shine a light on the incredible work that the County is doing to enhance public transit, a cause I am truly passionate about 💚💙

Apart from the awards we also got some updates on what’s going on in Miami-Dade County:

✨We have received a $400 million federal grant to build a NE rail corridor up to Aventura🚆

✨ In 2024, Miami International Airport broke records and had over 57 millions passengers pass through our airport.

✨ will be investing $9 billion dollars over the next 5 years to accommodate the projected 70 million passengers that we’re expecting in the future.

✨ Part of the airport renovation will be to decrease its carbon footprint and invest $130 million for rooftop improvement to include solar panels

✨ broke records in 2024 for both cargo operations and welcoming in a record-amount of cruise ship passengers (8 million+)

Miami is referred to as the Gateway to the Americas for a reason! We are a huge connection point for the U.S. with the rest of the world and the more we embrace this, the better our economy will be.

Public transportation is an important investment to make for our city and although there is still a lot to be done to enhance it, I am glad that the current administration of the county is pushing to make that happen 🙌🏽

Also grateful for organizations like & for being in the forefront of the Urbanist Movement in Miami by continuing to put on events, connecting urbanists, and being a voice for Miami citizens ⭐️ I learn so much from these 2 organizations and I highly recommend joining them if you want to make a difference in Miami!

I will continue to use my platform to educate everyone on how to use our public transit as well as bring awareness to what services we have available, it’s the LEAST I could do and I couldn’t be happier to do it.

Lastly, thank you all so much for trusting me and taking my advice 🩷

Thanks for reading! ✨

Pics from October’s Locals-Only Tour 📸

We started the night at where everyone mingled and met fellow Miami locals, we danced, we had mojitos, and then jumped on the double-decker to embark on a 2-hour tour of Miami!

My next Locals-Only tour is November 17th and we’ll be exploring Marine Stadium, Brickell, Downtown, Design District, and Overtown. This will be one of the last times doing this route before I change it up in the new year so don’t miss out!

Wheelchair or not, this will be happening!

Tickets can be found using the link in my bio 🎟️

And if you want any of these pics, message me!

See you guys soon! 🫶🏽

What is the Locals-Only tour and who am I?? Let me answer these questions for you ✨

Who is Caro The Tour Guide❓

Yes, I am a real professional tour guide here in Miami. I know it’s a random job, my parents thought the same thing and begged me to do something normal but I loved it. I was studying business in MDC at the time and I was working in an office where I was the only person there (a recipe for depressy) so I decided to look for a job that took me outdoors and talking to people. I originally wanted to be a park ranger but then a job at Bike & Roll offered training to become a tour guide so I decided to give it a shot and figured this would be great to practice my public-speaking skills.

Long story short, once I started learning, I fell in love with Miami and had an incredible time showing people Miami through my eyes. I learned so much about the history, culture, architecture, and people that made Miami great, which led to me respect the city a lot more.

What is the Locals-Only Tour?

I specifically designed this tour for my Miami natives to come and learn about our city, have a great time, and reignite the passion for our culture.

I rent out the double-decker bus from so we can have the best view and it’s always an incredible vibe.

The tour lasts for approximately 2 hours, it’s a nighttime tour, and we start with a fun social hour at the historic

💫 Highlights from my month in Bali 📍 (in no particular order)

✨Lots of yoga 🧘🏽‍♀️ (LOTS, our days started at 6:30 AM and ended at 7 PM, from Monday- Saturday)
✨Sunday Fundays (our only day off for the 3 week course, much of which I spent at the spa to recover🧖🏽‍♀️)
✨daily walks around the village where is located 🚶‍♀️
✨and then actually getting to explore Bali for a couple days after the course and do some fun activities like a farm cooking class and dressing in traditional Balinese wear

This was all such an amazing experience and I’m so grateful to be able to do something like this. I understand the incredible privilege and I don’t take it for granted 💓

I have been practicing yoga for 6 years now (time flies, I can’t believe how long it’s been) and I’ve fallen even more in love with the practice after getting to fully immerse myself in it.

Doing my 200 hour teacher training with was the best ☺️

I learned so much and feel so humbled in my practice. There’s always something new to learn in anything that you do and that’s what makes life so fun (in my opinion). I know the learning is never over and I have so much progress I can make in my practice.

But I’m officially a certified yoga teacher!!! I will be practicing with my family and friends and soon I’ll definitely host some community events! 🤩

Why Did I Decide to go to Bali? Well, I’ve always known that I wanted to take the month of August off to do whatever I wanted. It’s my new favorite tradition as an adult and I’ve made it my reason for working the rest of the year. I know I can always look forward to August even though this tradition started off in a sort of tragic sense....

Hey everyone! I just landed in Bali and will be away for the month to do my yoga teacher training! 🧘🏽‍♀️

As many of you know, I love yoga and have been practicing for 6 years at the amazing with my favorite teacher ✨

As fate would have it, the day I leave is the day I get an email congratulating me on my yogi-versary from my studio! 🥹

I will be sharing my adventures with you guys but I also have so many videos I created in the month of July to prep for this month away 📸

I can’t wait to share my new partnerships, including one with ! You all know how much I care about having good public services like the bus and train, and all these years of being a content creator is culminating into exactly what I want 🤩

I want to educate, I want to promote good things, and I want to bring awareness to all the good we already have so we can elevate that instead of the bad Miami things.

I heavily rely on a theory called Baader-Meinhof which basically states that whenever you learn something it is suddenly showing up everywhere. That’s the basis for Miami Mondays. I want you all to suddenly start seeing the good of Miami because in my lifetime here in Miami, we’ve only been exposed to the nasty and raunchy side of it (thanks to certain social media accounts that care only about clickbait and getting views)

I really appreciate your support, particularly with that series, and now I will be launching a new series to teach you all how to ride public transit! (I’M SO EXCITED🤩)

I have inspired many of my friends to start using it and I hope to inspire all of you too 🫶🏽

We may not be the best city in the world but trust me, we are not the worst. We have a lot of potential and we have a LOT of good people that don’t get enough of the spotlight.

Let’s continue this mission of love and stay tuned for all the educational content coming soon!😇

And you can follow along on my yoga teacher training adventures in Bali, on my stories! 🌴🤳

Love you all, thank you for all the support! 💕

🏝️ Postcards from PR 📸☀️

Such a fun solo trip to the beautiful island of Puerto Rico where I got to explore Old San Juan, Fajardo, Luquillo, and El Yunque Rainforest 🤩

I have a love/hate relationship with solo traveling but it’s mostly love because how could you not enjoy an experience where YOU are the captain and YOU call the shots. You want to stay up all night and party? Or you wanna go to bed early so you could catch an early morning run? It’s up to YOU!! 🤩 (Which one do you think I chose? 😜😂)

I had a blast during my 5 days in the Island and really only felt the woes of solo travel when I was alone in Fajardo with no one to talk to BUT THEN the next day I went on a scuba trip off the coast of Fajardo and met ANOTHER solo female traveler!!! 🧜🏽‍♀️🤜🏽🤛🏽🧜‍♀️

We ended up hanging out all day, had dinner together, danced together, and talked about life the way that you’d unload on a total stranger you’ll never see again… it was magical✨ we even ended up meeting again when I was in Portland just 30 days later! You never know what could happen on a solo trip!

The point of the matter is that I believe you should travel solo at LEAST ONCE in your life. Traveling by yourself can teach you so much about who you are and also equip you with skills to be able to navigate the world around you no matter the circumstance. ⭐️

I’ve learned many skills and have had my eyes opened in a variety of different ways during my solo travels and although I prefer to travel with a companion, to share in the joys of exploration, I do enjoy the autonomy to do as I please.

Because spontaneous opportunities can come at any time, do you feel equipped to handle them? ✨

I don’t know what I’d do without my pieces 🙇‍♀️

I’ve been exploring Coolibar’s products for a couple months now and I’ve loved the fact that these are all UPF 50+ material, they’re flattering, and they’re versatile!

Whether I’m on a boat or on a tour I can find the perfect piece for the occasion and dress it up however I want. Plus my skin is enjoying an extra layer of protection from the suns rays!

The material is very sturdy, the stitching is great quality, and like I mentioned before very well-fitting so these are products that should last you for years and years to come. Their styles are also timeless and classic so it should be no problem in that sense either 😜

I don’t believe you should ever compromise style, safety, quality, and sustainability so I am proud to support the one and only as a

Did I also mention that they’re a Miami-based business?! 🏝️

Getting to work with iconic institutions like is exactly what I’ve dreamed of doing and I’m still so grateful for having been able to go behind-the-scenes and see the entire production of the Cirque 🎪

If you missed it, don’t worry it’s still there 😉 go check my video out! 📺

I want to talk about tourism and the built environment✨

What do I mean when I say the built environment? Well, it’s the current layout of the city and how everything is designed and spaced out.

It’s one of the topics I’m most passionate about and one big reason is because of my profession in tourism.

As of 2023, reported that tourism generated $11.1 billion dollars, making Miami the 4th largest tourism market in the United States.

We have an immense amount of people from all over the world interested in our city for all kinds of different reasons but you know what they all struggle with when arriving?

Getting around. Not only is it a struggle but it is expensive and we are missing a huge economic opportunity for our city.

🔴 When tourists use Uber, Lyft or rent a car, that money LEAVES Miami’s economy. It feeds the economy of some other city and we miss out on earning those tourist dollars ❌

⭐️ On the other hand, if they use our public transportation, that money stays within our economy and goes back to us!🤩

We want multi-modal streets to accommodate several modes of transportation (bikes, scooters, wheelchairs, dedicated bus lanes)to make our public transit more efficient (dedicated bus lanes) and ACCESSIBLE.

This is just one more reason that we need to invest in this type of infrastructure change and I could go on and on about further added benefits (disposable cash for tourists to spend in local businesses, restaurants etc..) but we’ll start with that.

We’re missing out on the coins people!!! 🔥

Do you know how many tourists are adding to the traffic everyday??? (Trust me, it’s a LOT) 🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗

We need to get cars off the road not only to minimize traffic but earn ourselves more money for the city and more for the people. 💰🤑

⭐️ The conference is coming soon and I will be leading a couple of walkshops (to be announced) where we’ll be discussing how culture ties into built design and i’ll also be highlighting ADA inefficiencies in my tour (it’s gonna be a really fun tour, I can’t wait!!!)

All walkshops are free with the purchase of a conference ticket ✨
