Hz Bahauddin An.Naqsybandi q s says:

One who follows ONE of sunnatu Rasullulloh (s.a.v.) gets higher level than he is in 40 times chilla.
That was/is the greatness of Sheikh Bahauddin's teaching. He suggested the easiest way to reach Haqq Taalah. Those times chilla was very popular among people. Kings, poets, scientists were in chilla. Hz Bahauddin was blamed that he is refusing chilla. But this was magnificent feature of his path.
Imam Malik says: If you follow shariah but ignore tariqa you face to Fisq, you become Fasiq. And if you ignore shariah and follow only tariqah then you get out of Islam. These two stipulate each other.
It says in our books that Islam is of two wings: one wing is shariah, the second is a tariqah. A bird with one wing flies around making a circle. With two wings one reaches the goal.
And the country which follows this rule will definitely develop and becomes powerful.

*MISLEADING SCHOLARS*

There were many people who earned high level of religious knowledge.. but they failed to become pious and lost their way.

During the time of Hazrat Imam Rabbani Mujaddid Alif Thani RA
… there were two brothers
… by the name of Abu Alfazal and Faizee.

Abu Alfazal was the elder brother
… while Faizee was the younger.

Both had great amount of religious knowledge
… and they were both exceptionally intelligent.

Faizee had a photographic memory.. whatever he would hear once.. it would print on his mind,
… and he would remember it.
Whereas his elder brother Abu Alfazal would remember
… the second time he would hear something.

Both brothers were in royal service
… and very close to the Mughal emperor.

These two brothers wrote
… a unique tafseer of the holy Quran in Persian language.

In this tafseer
… they only used the Persian alphabets that were dot-less.. there was no alphabet with dot for instance no ‘Ba’, ‘Ta’, ‘Noon’ etc.

Imagine.. writing the tafseer (explanation) of the holy Quran
… is a major task in itself.. and making it even more challenging by using only selective alphabets is even harder.

Our Shaykh says that
… he had an opportunity to see a copy of that tafseer at a place.
Even
… the name of their tafseer was such that there was no alphabet with dot.. it was named ‘Sawatay Al-Ahlam”
(سواطع الاحلام).

This is how capable and intelligent religious scholar they were.

But
… when they failed to become pious and win the public recognition
… then in grief and desperation,
… they turned towards the material life
… and accepted the royal job
… becoming faithful to the king instead of the religion.

It was this business minded and mislead religious scholars
… who decreed and gave fatwa that sajadah (prostration) to the king is allowed.

Therefore
… learning religious knowledge
… and becoming a pious and practicing religious scholar are two different things
… a pious person follows the orders of Allahﷻ instead of sinful desires.
