📍Sultan Saodat complex
Termez, Uzbekistan

🕌Sultan Saodat is a muslim memorial complex formed from the 12th to the 17th century around the tombs of Termez sayids.
Sayids are considered to be descendants of the prophet Mohamed (SAV). From the Arabian, the name of the complex means “Dominion of Sayids”.

📌The basis of the complex consists of two mausoleums, which are united by ayvan – terrace served as a memorial mosque. The mausoleums are the compositions that are covered by domes on the arches. The buildings are made of baked bricks, and there are tombs are inside the mausoleums, on which the remains of decorative tiles are partially preserved.

✨This is truly great ensemble and distinguished by the mausoleums of different styles and periods, but in spite of this, they are the same structure and decoration.

Have you ever tried ripe persimmons?

📌Fruits that go on sale often have an overly tolerant, astringent taste, which is due to the high content of tannin in an unripe and early torn fruit. As the persimmon matures, it becomes sweeter, and the tolerant taste itself nullifies. 🔥

At the same time, they will not have the shadow of an astringent taste, which allows them to radically change their opinion about the "food of the gods," as the ancient Greeks called persimmon.😍😍

📍Ancient settlement Toprak-Kala, Karakalpakstan

🏜The desert fortresses of ancient Khorezm lie mostly in Karakalpakstan and the area's traditional name gives a stark indication of what lies beneath the desert sands.

🗺To explore the fortresses properly you will need a bit of time, as there is quite some distance between them. If you are able to climb and walk in a relaxed state of mind, taking a deep breath once you reach the top, you'll be rewarded with an impressive view of the scale of the sites, that have been very wealthy places with sophisticated inhabitants. You'll be able to spot an imposing figure on the horizon long before you reach it.

🏯Specifically, the Toprak Kala was both a city fortress and an important religious center, and the citadel at its heart was a royal residence: archaeologists have identified a throne room, a fine temple and an armory.

✨✨Bukhara is an ideal city for gastronomic tourism. National Uzbek cuisine is amazing, it can be admired endlessly: each dish is a real masterpiece.

One such masterpiece is Halim.😋😋
Halim is mainly prepared in the countries of Central Asia (Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan) for the Navruz holiday or simply for the occasion. Very tasty and calorie dish. It is prepared mainly in large boilers by specialists. Due to the long cooking process, it loses its relevance and is less and less prepared. It is recommended to eat it fresh - immediately upon readiness. The "distribution" of the halim turns into a holiday - many guests come, mainly served as a morning palov in Uzbekistan.😍😍

Meat in the preparation it is desirable to use a freshly cut animal (mainly mutton is used).

✨✨This is one of the most attractive architectural monuments that is worth a visit, spending holidays in Bukhara, is the Bolo House mosque. The mosque is located on the main square, and next to it is a small reservoir, thanks to which the mosque got its name. Until the beginning of the 20th century, this mosque was the most important in Bukhara, and the ruler himself performed prayers here.

🕌🕌The Bolo House ensemble, which has undisputed artistic value, is located opposite the Bukhara fortress of Arc, at the western tip of Registan Square, spread out in front of the fortress. The emir descended into this mosque on solemn days from his fortress, and then carpets were spread from the Arch, through the entire vast area to the mosque itself.

The mosque conquered me with beauty and unusual.😍😍 No wonder the emir of Bukhara visited for prayer this magnificent mosque with its unforgettable wooden carved colonnade, spectacularly reflected in a nearby reservoir.

✨✨Today, few Bukharians know that in addition to the famous fortress wall surrounding the city, there was once another "belt" of fortifications, referred to by historians as the "kampir-devol" (from taj. "kampir" - "old lady," that is, "ancient wall"). So, according to one version, voiced by one historian and an excellent connoisseur of local history - the so-called traditional Bukhara palov (popularly referred to as "Osh-i-sofi"), did not come to us from Persia or India, but arose exclusively in this Bukhara oasis of culture, in the belt outlining the walls of the "kampir-devola," and therefore, known to the local population from ancient times, already from the era of the Samanids (X century).
Bukhara palov is considered dietary and light, thanks to a certain method of preparation😍😍. Animal fats, oils are replaced by vegetable-based oil, for example, sesame or cotton. The added special spices and spices not only improve the taste of the dish, but also contribute to better fat splitting and good digestibility of food.
It is believed that the name of the palov was given by the great healer Avicenna👳👳.
"Osh-i-sofi" is served in a large plate, crumpled rice is laid out first, leveling on the surface of the plate, then carrots with intestines are laid out and fragrant pieces of beef are finished. The appearance of the palov turns out to be appetizingly motley, looking at it, I immediately want to enjoy this dish.😋😋

✨Well, will we begin our journey through ancient Bukhara?!

✅ First of all, you need to visit one of the oldest Bukhara architectural monuments - the Samanid mausoleum - erected on a vast territory, which in past centuries served as a burial place for the dead. According to historical information, the mausoleum arose at the end of the 10th century on the territory of the cemetery. Its construction was led by Ismail Samani, the ancestor of the famous dynasty, which occupied the throne for more than a century, from 875 to 999. It was the last Persian dynasty to rule in Central Asia. Interestingly, it is the reign of the Samanids that is considered the time of the heyday of economic and cultural activity of the state.
It can be called a miracle that the architectural heritage has survived to this day, and did not succumb to destruction.
🧐🧐There is a legend that the mausoleum has been hidden under the sand since the invasion of Genghis Khan. Allegedly, local residents decided to protect him from the cruel conqueror, who destroyed almost the entire city, and threw sand to the very top, hiding from their eyes.
The beauty of this architectural monument cannot be conveyed in words.😍😍 The mausoleum building is struck by the simplicity and clarity of the structure, amazing proportionality and subtle harmony of architectural forms and decor. Outside and inside, the tomb is covered with openwork masonry from vertically and horizontally standing burning bricks imitating the ornate motif of the "braiding."
The frieze of the building is encircled with rings of bricks, built in a chain. They are very reminiscent of the decoration of pre-Arab palaces or "Sassanid perls," preserved in Central Asia and Iran.
And today this unique monument of ancient architecture of Central Asia is world famous, having a small size and height, the mausoleum makes a very strong impression on the viewer.
✨✨ There is a legend that if you go around the mausoleum 3 times, speaking your wishes to yourself, then they are sure to come true.

✨✨✨We will not tell you about the many sights of Bukhara. We just don't have enough space 😜
We just want to give a few facts why you should definitely visit this city.
Bukhara is one of the most famous and picturesque cities in Central Asia. This is an amazing museum city, where a large number of cultural and architectural monuments of different eras are concentrated - in total there are more than 140 structures and buildings of the Middle Ages alone.
Chic eastern madrassas and mosques here are adjacent to dull slums.
Modern shopping and entertainment centers, and nearby eastern bazaars and ancient narrow streets.
In addition to historical monuments, Bukhara is also interested in modern art. This is a symbiosis of the traditions of antiquity and current social problems.
In Bukhara, each of you will find something of your own:
See ancient mosques and shrines, visit the birthplace of the world famous Avicenna, visit the ancient settlement, meet the dawn at the highest minaret of the city, be in the role of a real Bukhara emir😍
You can write and read about Bukhara endlessly, but you need to feel the city yourself!
Believe me, having been here once - you will return here again and again!

✨✨Wit, wisdom, eloquence, mastery of the word - are the main features of Nasreddin Khoja.

👳👳Nasreddin Khoja is a national hero of the national folklore of Central Asia and Middle Eastern countries.

He tactfully ridicules greedy rulers, hypocrites, cowards, bribe takers and other human vices in his stories. Finding a non-standard way out of any situation and skillfully wrapped fools around the finger, he tells about his adventures everywhere in a humorous way.
