Adventure Tour “Legends of Uzbekistan”

Since the ancient times Samarkand and Bukhara have been important commercial cities of the Great Silk Road. These cities are known even nowadays for their rich history and unique architectural monuments.

One of the oldest cities in the world Samarkand with its 2750-years history amazes with its magnificent buildings of the medieval architecture that have been preserved until nowadays. It was here where the patron of science Mirzo Ulugbek erected his observatory in the 15th century; it was a unique construction for its time.

Bukhara, which is as old as Samarkand, opens its doors to lovers of antiquity. In fact, every stone in this city reflects the history. The great scientists, such as physician and encyclopedist Avicenna and historian Narshakhi, worked in this city.

The final image Khiva was formed in the 17th century. Throughout its long history it has withstood all tests of time and behind its adobe walls you can find masterpieces of the medieval architecture.

Nukus, the capital and the largest city of the Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan, is located close to the Aral Sea. From the south and east the city is surrounded by the desert Kizil K*m. Besides the ancient Mizdakhan necropolis located not far from Nukus, you can visit the famous State Museum of Art named after I.V. Savitsky. Its collection is the best and in Asia and the second largest and important collection of Russian avant-garde paintings in the world.

Day 1. Tashkent
In depend of the flight arrive Tashkent. Welcome at the International airport and transfer to the Hotel. If there is time sign seeing around Tashkent . Rest.. Sightseeing tour of Tashkent : a visit to the Amir Timur Square,Theatre Squatre with the Opera House, Applied Art Museum, Earthquake Memorial. Alisher Navoi National Park, Khast Imam Square, oriental Chor-su bazaar.
Dinner in local restaurant.
Night in Tashkent

Day 2. Bukhara
Breakfast at the Hotel. In the morning transfer to local airport for departing to Bukhara by flight. Arriving to Bukhara. Transfer to the Hotel. Check in Hotel.

Sightseeing outside Bukhara: Bagautdin Nakhshbandi Complex, the Chor Bakr Complex of Mausoleums (14 km ), back to Bukhara and to visit to the Chor Minor Madrassah.
Visits to the Ark Fortress (V-XIX CC), Bolo Hauz Mosque(XVII C), Samanids Mausoleum (IXC ), Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum (XII-XVI CC),
After lunch time sightseeing on foot along the old part of the city from Poi- Kalyan complex with Kalyan Minaret (XII C)through orient bazaars with three trade domes of Toki Zargaron (XV C), TokiSarrafon (XVI C), Toki Telpak Furushon (XVI C) to the Lyabi Hauz complex(XVI -XVII CC).
Dinner in the family.
Night in Bukhara.

Day 3. Bukhara – Samarkand (280 km)
Breakfast at the Hotel . till lunch time visiting Bukhara - to the Ark Fortress (I-XX CC), Bolo Hauz Mosque (XVIII C), Samanids Mausoleum (IX-X CC), Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum (XII-XVI CC).
Afternoon transfer from Bukhara to Samarkand (280 km). Arriving in Samarkand. Check-in Hotel . Rest.
Dinner in local restaurant.
Night in Samarkand

Day 4. Samarkand
Breakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing around city. Visiting: Registan square with Ulug Beg / Shir Dor / Tillya Kari Madrassah Bibi Khanum Mosque, Bazaar- orient market.
Sightseeing: Ulub Beg Observatory, Gur Emir, Tombstone of Saint Danyar, Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis (XI - XV CC)
Dinner in the family.
Night in Samarkand

Day 5. Samarkand - Tashkent
Breakfast at the Hotel. Sign seeing around Samarkand. Afternoon transfer to train station in Samarkand for departing by train to Tashkent . Arriving in Tashkent. Check-in Hotel.

MYSTERIOUS BUKHARA

One of the most considerable and ancient cities of Central Asia, based in the I century BC, is located in lower reaches of the river of Zeravshan – a desert oasis Kizilkum. Data on ancient Bukhara contain in work of the great Arab traveler and scientist ibn Batuta (1304-1369) "Rikhl", in notes of the Italian merchant and traveler Mark Polo (1254-1324), however for the first time Bukho's (Buho) term is noted Xuan Chien about 630 AD.
The great Silk way which has opened possibilities of trade between the East and the West, served further blossoming of the city which becomes financial and shopping center. Lying at an intersection of caravan tracks, the city was connected with Persia, China, India and Russia, the main directions of international trade here were crossed, merchants, handicraftsmen, scientists, musicians from the various countries here gathered.
The numerous architectural and cultural monuments of Bukhara which have remained up to now (about 170), are witnesses of centuries-old history of the city”

SAMARKAND
Samarkand is one of the oldest cities of the world, the capital of ancient Sogdiana, the legendary and fabulous city. Samarkand is as old as the ancient cities of Babylon, Athens and Rome. This city is more than 25 centuries old. During those centuries, the city has experienced a lot of great and dramatic events. Samarkand saw Saks and Massageths, Greeks and Macedonians, Karakitays (Chinese), Arab Arab commanders and hordes of Jenghiz Khan.
"Marakanda" (the old name of Samarkand, known by Greeks) was probably founded in the 5th century BC. It was already the cosmopolitan, walled capital of the Sogdian Empire when it was taken in 329 BC by Alexander the Great, who said: “Everything I have heard about Marakanda is true, except that it is more beautiful than I have ever imagined ”.
