Mayreau Coral Restoration Project It is much more than reef restoration- We are educating ourselves on the best actions to take at grassroot level, to save our environment; both land and sea.

We believe environmental stewardship should be holistic and the responsibility of every citizen.

And we're back! Work on our Caribbean Biodiversity Fund Project in consortium with CLEAR Caribbean and Richmond Vale Academy continues. 1000 gallon water tanks were delivered to the Mayreau farmers on the program. This is all part of our rebuilding efforts towards water and food security. Improving food and water security is especially important in this post Beyrl landscape.

We are thrilled to launch the inaugural Holistic Entrepreneurial Reframing (HER) Program! HER is a 12-week mentorship, retreat and small grants program for Mayreau women entrepreneurs, implemented by We Are Mayreau, Inc..

It is a unique opportunity for up to 4 women from Mayreau to benefit from 12 weeks of mentorship and holistic support from successful women entrepreneurs across St. Vincent and the Grenadines. It also includes an immersive retreat and up to $1000 USD in financial support towards your existing small business.

The HER Program was established in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl, and is envisioned as a pilot that can be scaled to benefit more women - not only in Mayreau but across the country.

Apply today via our online application form: http://bit.ly/4eXXGnF

This program is made possible thanks to funding from USAID - US Agency for International Development through the Caribbean Feminist Climate Justice Movement. Our partners include the Global Fund for Women, Caribbean Women In Leadership - CIWiL (St. Kitts), Hibiscus Business Development Services, VincyKlus and Swoosh Bomb Fitness.

We continue our efforts on the grounds, in St. Vincent and overseas to support the relief efforts on Mayreau. Our team has been working around the clock amidst shock, overwhelm and deep sadness to prioritise needs and ensure safety for all our community members. Thank you for your outpour of support and generosity during one of the hardest collective moments of our small island’s history.

Ways to directly support our work:

1. Donate to our crowdfunder: https://www.gofundme.com/f/disaster-relief-mayreau-svg-hurricane-beryl

2. Support Evacuees in St. Vincent: If you are in St. Vincent and you can house/feed/support Mayreaunians, please reach out to us. Our immediate priority to ensure safety and comfort of our most vulnerable residents.

3. Reach out: If you have any ideas for other ways of supporting, please message us on Facebook or email [email protected]

Members of our team, including Marion Isaacs, Tesilca Ollivierre and Natesha Alexander, have arrived or are on route to Mayreau today to make a further assessment of the situation. We will keep our public informed as a clearer picture emerges.

Keeping track of sea surface temperatures. It's not looking good for corals this year. Our nursery now has 14 genotypes of Elkhorn who survived last year's event. Let's hope that they prove to be super corals and survive what is shaping up to be the hottest sea surface temperatures ever.
