What to see?
SA DEC is a provincial city in D**G THAP Province in the Mekong Delta of southern Vietnam. It is a river port and agricultural and industrial trading center.
HUYNH THE LE’s House
The French writer Marguerite Duras lived in SA DEC during the three- to four-year period between 1928 and 1932. Her mother ran a school on the corner of Hung Vuong and Ho Xuan Huong, where a school still exists today (now it is TRUNG VUONG Primary School). Duras met HUYNH THUY LE, the son of a wealthy Chinese family, and the two became involved in a love affair that became the basis for Duras's 1984 Prix Goncourt-winning novel, The Lover. The house of HUYNH THUY LE, at 255A Nguyen Hue Street, for many years an office for a government agency, has from 2007 been open to the public, with guides offering tours in French, English and Vietnamese.
SA DEC Flower Village
Sa Dec Flower Village in D**g Thap Province has been well-known for a long time as the flower capital of the Mekong Delta and one of the country's largest suppliers of flowers for cities and provinces nationwide and even abroad.
CAN THO is the fourth-largest city in Vietnam, and the largest city along the Mekong Delta region in Vietnam. It is noted for its floating market, has a population of around 1,282,300 as of 2020 and is located on the south bank of the Hậu River, a distributary of the Mekong River.
CAI RANG Floating Market
Cai Rang floating market is located on Cai Rang river, Cai Rang district. It is about 5 km away from the center of Can Tho city and about 15 minutes away from Ninh Kieu quay by motorbike and 30 minutes away by boat. The market is about 500m away from Cai Rang Bridge, following Vo Tanh road to Ba Lang canal towards Phong Dien district. Cai Rang floating market is famous for its unique and interesting elements. Here, the simplicity and genuine beauty of the floating market remain intact from time to time even though the trade activities are always bustling daily with customers from everywhere. In 2016, Cai Rang floating market was recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage.
CAI BE is a river-land mixed town in Vietnam. It is a rural district of Tien Giang province in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. Cái Bè is the north shore of My Thuan bridge, the gateway to the city of Vinh Long and the Cuu Long River Delta.
DON CA TAI TU (Folk Music)
The Southern folk song (often called Đờn Ca Tài Tử) is a kind of musical art featuring both scholarly and folk roots, which flourished in Sothern Vietnam in the late 19th century. Don Ca Tai Tu is said to reflect the lifestyle of Southern people who live and work on the land and rivers of the Mekong Delta region. The music type helps local to express all feelings and emotions, industriousness, generosity and courage of their own and has become popular to every visitors of both domestic and international.
VINH TRANG PAGODA
Vinh Trang Pagoda is a Buddhist temple near My Tho in the Mekong Delta region of southern Vietnam. It is one of the best-known temples in the region. The temple stands on a 2-hectare (4.9-acre) block filled with fruit trees in the village of My Hoa in the town of My Phong, on the banks of the Bao Dinh canal
