The beauty of Vietnam and Laos, By Bike. Bespoke cycling experiences for road and gravel since 2015.
Weโve been sharing the beauty of Vietnam and Laos, by bike, since 2015, providing bespoke cycling experiences for road and gravel. We know and love the roads, the cultures and the cuisines of these amazing nations. We always strive to understand and respect Vietnam and Laosโ peoples and their environments, and create goodwill wherever we go. At Velo Vietnam we create bespoke, designed tours for in

Just 5 slots remain for the Velo Vietnam Northern Frontier 2024
Now in its third edition, this year the Northern Frontier challenge ride runs Oct 4 - 9.
On day 1 we stay in Hanoi at our Velo Vietnam hotel, then we head north for 4 beautiful stages.
The Velo Vietnam team will take care of everything for you. You focus on the riding, we take care of the rest. We have guides on bicycles, guides on motorbikes, back up vans, a mechanic and a photographer.
You can now sign up for our four stage challenge ride on our favourite roads of the Far North frontier area.

Come and ride our favourite roads in the Far North with us this October!
This format is for those who wants to ride long, beautiful days in the far northern Frontier Area of Vietnam.
The four ride days include 17 designated climb segments. Some riders aim to simply complete these segments and the overall four stages, others will ride the segments to challenge themselves to get their best time. How you ride the climbs is up to you.
This ride takes out the stress of bunch road racing (this is not a race!), but leaves plenty of chance to test yourself if you want.
For the majority of the ride, we roll together, enjoying the landscapes and the good company.
In short, if you want to ride big days in the Frontier Zones, we welcome you to The Northern Frontier
When the landscapes look like youโre cycling through a painting.
This is the very first climb right out the gates on our annual Northern Frontier ride. Booking for 2024 opens soon with early bird prices.

Velo Vietnam - The beauty of Vietnam and Laos, By Bike. Crafting bespoke experiences since 2015.
From a tailored weekend ride to a three week epic adventure, we tailor bespoke rides to suit your level on the very best road, gravel and dirt routes throughout Vietnam and Laos.
All our tours and camps are designed and built by our founders - people who love this region and riding in it. A professional anthropologist fluent in Vietnamese, Ashley Carruthers has been exploring Vietnamโs culture, landscape and roads since the early 1990s. David Lloyd is also Director of Sports at our partner, Topas, where he creates the nationโs biggest mountain events. A former travel journalist and photographer, his work has been published in the New York Times among others.
Their combined experience and love for the region is used to create experiences for cyclists keen to ride the best routes available.
Our team also includes:
Emma Pooley - former World Champ and all round bike adventure and trail run lover
Dale Nottingham - a man who has ridden more long distance multi day adventures in Vietnam than anyone we know
Claude Perzo - one time neo-pro on Renault Gitane; loves everything about the bicycle and riding around Vietnam
Matt Kinch - rides to eat. Has lost races all over Asia
Nam - our man on the motorbike making everything run smooth as silk
