✨ Ngày 21/10/2021 lễ hội đua thuyền truyền thống được tổ chức trên nhiều địa phương tại Lào. Lễ hội đua thuyền truyền thống trong tiếng Lào gọi là Boun Suang Huea, là một trong những lễ hội lâu đời và lớn tại Lào, được tổ chức hằng năm khi kết thúc mùa chay (Ok Phansa), tính theo Phật lịch Lào là ngày rằm tháng 11. Theo văn hóa tại quốc gia này, lễ hội đua thuyền nhằm tạ ơn trời đất, tạ ơn Mẹ nước đã phù hộ cho người dân được mùa; tạ ơn Thần rắn Naga - vật tổ, thủy thần của người Lào đã cho mưa thuận gió hòa để người dân được sống ấm no, hạnh phúc. Lễ hội này của người Lào gồm có 3 hoạt động chính là: hành lễ (trong đó có cúng thực và rước nến xung quanh chùa), thả thuyền, đèn hoa trên sông.
