[Sipping the Heavenly Egg Coffee in Vietnam]

📍Location: Hanoi, Vietnam
🍴Cafe: Cafe Giảng (Original)
💸Price: 35,000 VND (~$1.50 USD)

As a local guide with over 10 years of experience in Vietnam, I can confidently say that no trip to Hanoi is complete without trying Cafe Trứng, or Egg Coffee. This sweet and creamy drink is a signature of Vietnamese coffee culture and has captured the hearts of both locals and tourists alike.

My go-to spot for this decadent drink is Cafe Giảng, the original creator of Egg Coffee in Hanoi. The drink is made by whisking egg yolks with sugar and condensed milk until it becomes a thick and creamy foam, which is then poured over a shot of strong Vietnamese coffee.

The result is a rich and velvety drink that is both sweet and bitter, with a smooth texture that coats your tongue. It's the perfect pick-me-up on a hot day or a cozy drink to warm you up on a chilly evening.

But Cafe Trứng is not just a drink, it's an experience. Sitting in one of the many coffee shops in Hanoi, watching the locals and tourists bustle by, and taking in the sights and sounds of the city while sipping on this delicious drink is truly a moment to cherish.

So if you're planning a trip to Vietnam, make sure to add Cafe Trứng to your list of must-tries. And if you find yourself in Hanoi, don't forget to stop by Cafe Giảng and try the original Egg Coffee for yourself.

The Perfect Com Tam - A Must-Try Vietnamese Dish!

🍚🍛🍴 As a local guide and foodie, I am thrilled to share my thoughts on one of Vietnam's most popular dishes - Com Tam or Broken Rice.

Com Tam is a simple yet delicious dish that features grains of broken rice that are shorter than regular rice grains. It is usually served with grilled pork, pork skin, and a fried egg on top. The dish is completed with a small bowl of soup and fresh vegetables such as cucumbers, tomatoes, and pickled vegetables.

One of my favorite places to enjoy Com Tam is at Huong Lai restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City. The rice is fragrant and slightly sticky, with a texture that pairs perfectly with the juicy grilled pork and crispy pork skin. The fried egg adds a delightful richness, while the soup helps balance out the flavors.

Another great place to try Com Tam is at Com Tam Thanh in Hanoi. Here, the dish is served with a generous portion of pickled vegetables, adding a tangy and refreshing element to the meal. The grilled pork is also seasoned perfectly, making every bite burst with flavor.

If you're a food lover, you cannot miss out on Com Tam when you're in Vietnam. Whether you're in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, or any other city in the country, you'll be sure to find this dish at street food stalls, local eateries, and high-end restaurants. Trust me, it's worth trying!

Banh Mi Thit: A Vietnamese Sandwich That Will Make Your Taste Buds Sing!

🥪 I've tasted my fair share of Vietnamese cuisine. But there's one dish that never fails to make my taste buds sing: Banh Mi Thit. This delicious sandwich is a staple in Vietnam and is a must-try for any foodie traveling to the country.

🥖 Banh Mi Thit is made with a baguette that's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, filled with grilled pork, pate, pickled vegetables, fresh herbs, and a spread of mayonnaise. The combination of flavors and textures is simply divine. The savory pork, the tangy pickled vegetables, and the fresh herbs all come together to create a symphony of flavors in your mouth.

🥪 What I love about Banh Mi Thit is that it's not only delicious, but it's also affordable and readily available. You can find Banh Mi Thit sold by street vendors, small shops, and even high-end restaurants. It's a dish that's loved by both locals and tourists alike.

🥖 If you're in Ho Chi Minh City, I highly recommend trying Banh Mi Huynh Hoa. This small shop is famous for its Banh Mi Thit, and you'll often find a line of people waiting to get their hands on one. Trust me, it's worth the wait!

🥪 Banh Mi Thit is more than just a sandwich; it's a cultural experience. It's a dish that represents the fusion of French and Vietnamese cuisine, and it's a testament to the ingenuity and creativity of the Vietnamese people.

As a travel reviewer and local guide with 10 years of experience, I've had my fair share of Bun Cha, and I must say, it's one of my favorite dishes in Vietnam.

🍢 So what exactly is Bun Cha? It's a dish consisting of grilled pork meatballs, served with rice vermicelli, fresh herbs, and a bowl of fish sauce. The flavors and textures of the dish are a perfect balance of sweet, salty, and sour. The pork meatballs are grilled to perfection, with a smoky flavor that's irresistible.

🍜 But what really sets Bun Cha apart is the fish sauce. It's a sweet and savory dipping sauce made with fish sauce, sugar, garlic, chili, and lime juice. The fish sauce adds an umami flavor to the dish, and it's the perfect complement to the meatballs and rice vermicelli.

🍢 If you're in Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam, then you must try Bun Cha at one of the local street vendors. It's a popular dish among the locals, and you'll find many vendors selling it.
