Designed by Jean Louis P., well known in South Vietnam since 2003 for its pioneering Mekong delta cruises and unique sampan boats Cai Be Princess and Song Xanh as well as for its famous Le Longanier Indochine villa & restaurant, Cô Saigon is a luxury Boutique River Yacht, the very first of its kind built in Vietnam and launched on Saigon river in Oct 2013. Inspired by the original design of the 19
20s riverboats operated by the French Messageries Fluviales de Cochinchine during Indochina times, Cô Saigon was built with a wooden strip-planking hull (strip poplar, fiberglass, carbon glass, epoxy resin). With 80 feet length (24m) and 15 feet beam (4,5m), Cô Saigon is able to carry up to 25 passengers comfortably seated, with the choice between the 40sqm air conditioned indoor salon (equipped with 2 bars, toilets and storage cabin, sofas and tables) and the 16sqm open air back side U shaped deck. The ultra shallow draft (1,1 feet/ 0,60m) allows cruises on small canals, under low bridges and during low tides. Cô Saigon offers exclusive cruises to the hidden paths of Can Gio listed biosphere reserve by UNESCO (one of the largest wildlife sanctuary in Vietnam), as well as to Cu Chi with direct access by the riverside to the famous underground network of tunnels built by the Viet Cong during the second world war. Unforgettable private sunset cocktail cruises as well as dinner cruises can be operated along Saigon river and its historical arroyos. Private chartered cruises are also available for groups on request to any spots on Saigon river and for any special occasions (anniversaries, wedding parties, corporate events). The interior offers a beautiful "neo-classic" design combining luxury furnitures and materials such as Oregon pine (parquet floor), Tanzania teak wood (structure, doors, walls) and Italian brass (indoor and outdoor finishes), ebony wood tables with cast aluminium by famous Quasar Khanh designer. Entertainment on board is assured by a Bose sound system, as well as by 2 x 29 inches flat wall TV and VDO player. The very best of the modern technology is onboard, motorized by a brand new 185 HP Baudouin diesel engine imported straight from the worldwide famous French factory; Betaset generators by Betamarine (UK); High tech water treatment, pumps system and electric marine toilets by SPX Johnson (Sweden); Lit by 40 interior led lights from Hellamarine (NZ); A 1km scope search light by Seematz (Germany); among other amenities. Safety is a top priority with 4 emergency rafts, life jackets, buoys, a fully equipped command room with the most modern equipment (GPS; UHF- VHF radio; Satellite phone). Cô Saigon is commanded by a professional licensed Captain, and manned by a professional Deck Crew and Cruise Staff, all having training certificates to deal with emergencies. Refresher training and live drills are conducted every 6 months, accredited by the relevant Vietnamese Government Authority or Agency. The boat operates under professional daily technical supervision and ongoing maintenance schedules including regular monthly and bi-annual routine maintenance and an annual dry-docking to ensure all aspects of river worthiness and accommodation are in good condition, and is inspected by the local Maritime Registration Authority annually and certified accordingly.
