[Update on Lock-Down in HCMC] TBSS has received some updates from the ground and official channel, as follows:
1. The city lockdown is now extended to to 15th September, restricted movement out of residential areas, with valid reason within district and official permit out of district.
2. Night Curfew continues, from 6 pm until 6 am, no movement outside residential compounds are permitted.
3.
Some essential business activites have been permitted to operate:
a. bakeries, tofu, noodle, noodle soup
b. notary services
c. security, maintenance and repair for offices, office buildings and apartments
d. insurance (adjustment and compensation)
e. air ticketing offices
f. private clinics
g. permitted “shippers“ with official permit
h. 25% of government offices
g. 100% hospitals and military
Comments:
a. Public is to limit leaving their houses except for essential activities. TBSS had observed police actions upon residents traveling such as being interrogated for valid reasons.
b. Within curfew hours only grocery workers, flight crews, food producers, medical staff, charity kitchens, postal workers, urban sanitation, traffic works, and public utilities are allowed on the road with official permits.
c. Service cars, emergency vehicles, taxis licensed for necessary travel, transport vehicles for epidermic control and essential supplies (including charity bag delivery) delivery
d. 12 petrol stations will be open around gateways in/out of city
e. Vaccination will be speed up to ensure the 70% vaccinated and least 15% with the second dose by 15 September.
f. home-based care for F0 patients
g. special focus for the following areas to control the epidemic and increase green zones: Can Gio, Cu Chi, Phu Nhuan, Nha Be, District 5, 7, 11.
