[Post-COVID Travel to Vietnam] Many friends have asked, generally, same questions.
1. One can enter Vietnam from Singapore as a Tourist on a 30-day tourist visa, THERE WILL BE NO EXTENSION.
2. One can enter on business visa (more than 30 days, multiple or single entry). The business visa can be extended or temporary resident card can be obtained (if needed).

[Situation in Vietnam] We are happy that people and coming in, but there are many who have to leave. Our observations and update as a foreign entrepreneur living with Việt Nam…

1. Notwithstanding that travels are easier now, we need to know that this is not the same as per-COVID days. Entering on tourist visa is restored but you plan to extend your stay as a tourist to do some work such as teachings, the situation has been changed.

2. Some who live in Việt Nam during COVID received extension of visa almost de facto then, today these people have to leave or have left if they are here on Tourist Visa.

3. Some so-called native language speakers who teach here without visa, work permit or resident card have been caught and been asked to leave Việt Nam. These “illegal” stayers are advised to come back with proper documentations but no one knows whether they will be back listed.

4. One specific case, a business partner was fined for hosting foreigners without business visa, work permit or resident card just last week (these foreigners were already on Việt Nam before COVID to “work” here. We helped this partner to acquire their business license, we obliged told them to do proper visas even when the workers are here for short projects more then 30 days. We have just obtained work visa for 3 Taiwanese engineers to start up an electronic manufacturing plant.

4. TBSS is experience and professional in business set up, business operations and administrations. During COVID, we had assisted 3 companies to start up, manage their operations and arranged their expert and investors to visit Việt Nam.

[Travel to Vietnam] Travelling to Vietnam is back to Normal but with pre-flight PCR (72 hours before flight) or ART (24 hours before flight), the clearance and custom proceeding are reported normal.

[Route to Tourism] You are not the only one who is frustrated, the whole world is.

TBSS serves our business clients who set up their offices with us or appoint us to manage and handle their business operations. We had assisted 30+ travellers into Vietnam for business-related activities.

[Travel to HCMC] We are pleased to receive Dr Chong on his arrival at Tan Son Nhat International. He is now under the mandatory quarantine required by the Government Directive. [Route to Normality] The restriction has been relaxed for Visa and Temporary Resident Card holders from 18/1/2022, in accordance to 450 Directive. This is largely meant for Experts and Business Owners who have been living in Vietnam to travel in and out for businesses easier.

[Route to Normality] Vietjet and Bamboo will be flying Singapore, Saigon and Hanoi. It means the experts and business owners will have more choices to travel to Vietnam. The application before travelling still applies.

Budget carriers Vietjet Air and Bamboo Airways announced Friday the resumption of regular commercial flights to Asian destinations on January 1 after a hiatus of nearly two years.

The government has approved the resumption of international flights between Vietnam and nine destinations that have managed high vaccination rates and good pandemic control on January 1.

[Route to Normality] The 1st condition to travel is to get your vaccine on the recognition system. It looks like the route to normality seems promising but it is still not for tourism yet.

[Route to Normality] The hope is high.

Several ministries have voiced support for the Ministry of Transport’s recommendation to resume international flights on December 15, saying the high vaccination rates have basically brought Covid-19 under control.

[Route to Normality] The need to be quarantized at designated or centralized location will be put to a stop for vaccinated travelers, but they will still need to carry out tests during isolation at home. The health ministry will submit a proposal to implement the reduced restrictions by 15 December.

The report also highlights that the Transport Ministry and Aviation Authority are working closely with other nations on Vaccine Passports to allow commercial flights. Meanwhile, only experts and business investors are granted entry, with some tourists who are on very strict itinenary have visited Vietnam.

[Vietnam On Omicron] There has been no restriction as yet. As usual, if you go to ask the Embassy, you will not get firmed reponses unless you are a Vietnamese requiring repatriation. We are aware that the queue is now months long. Other than this, you can only come to Vietnam via the Expert or Investor route.

We are not agents, we are business owners who travel between Singapore and Vietnam. And, our priority is to arange our business partners traveling to Vietnam for businesses or projects.
