• 3 month entry Vietnam evisa is added. Applicants now have 2 options for Vietnam evisa applications: Single entry or multiple entries that lasts up to 90 days validity.

• Citizens from all countries are now eligible for Vietnam e-visa program.

• 09 more ports of entry have been added to the list of eligible entry/exit points. Total amount of international borders that accept Vietnam evisa goes up to 42 borders.

• Effective from 15 August, 2023, regular passport holders of 13 countries will be exempt from visa requirements for Vietnam for 45 days instead of 15 days.

Ha Long Bay, Hoi An among top travel destinations depicted on banknotes: SCMP (Hong Kong newspaper)

Hong Kong newspaper South China Morning Post has named Vietnam's Ha Long Bay and Hoi An town among the world's best tourist destinations appearing on banknotes.

The limestone mountains in Ha Long Bay appear on VND200,000 bills.

Two hours from Hanoi by road, Ha Long is famous for its cruise tours through the thousands of vegetation-covered islets and towering limestone cliffs that dot its mist-shrouded bay. The ideal time to visit the natural wonder is between March and April and September and November since there is little rain and cruise conditions are nearly perfect.

The 20,000-dong banknotes are adorned with an image of the Japanese Pagoda Bridge, a symbol of Hoi An.

Built by Japanese traders in the 17th century, the bridge spans 18 meters over a canal that runs into the Thu Bon River. There is a small shrine built at one end of the bridge in 1653 that gives it its name.

This touching story took place in Hiep Duc district, Quang Nam province.

Seeing the rice fields of Mr. V.V.T. (52 years old, group 4, Tan Thuan village, Hiep Thuan commune) fell a lot, but Mr. T. and his wife were under 14-days quarantine, on August 12, people in the village gathered to help harvest 1 sao (1 sào) of rice fields of this family.

Nearly a dozen villagers, including both men and women, rolled up their sleeves to harvest, dried the rice, then poured them into bags to Mr. T's house.

A resident here said that because Mr. T.'s family was not at home and the villagers saw that if the rice is not harvested,the whole field would be damaged, so neighbors gather to harvest rice to help the family. Mr. T .. After harvesting, the villagers also help dry rice for this family.

"In the future, if Mr. T.'s rice is ripe in the next few days, but the couple has not returned, the neighbors will continue to help" - this person said.

👉 When Hospital C Da Nang was removed from the blockade, Nguyen Chien's team mobilized dozens of vehicles to transport patients, stranded people home for free.

👉 The group of "zero VND" cars was founded by Mr. Tran Vinh, linking volunteer drivers to help the people and the city government during the season. Not only transporting patients and doctors between quarantine and home, the group also helps to transport goods and necessities to hospitals and quarantine areas in Da Nang.

👉 The volunteer group has more than 300 linked vehicles, distributed throughout the districts of Lien Chieu, Thanh Khe, Son Tra, Ngu Hanh Son, Hai Chau, Cam Le, Hoa Vang. "The group will work until the epidemic ends. Hope everyone join hands to repel the epidemic so that life is back to normal", Mr. Vinh expressed.

👉 Beside Vinh's group, there is a group of "free rides" to support pregnant women founded by Mr. Tran Ngoc Vu (technology driver). "Seeing many cases of pregnant women having difficulty moving to the hospital due to the social distancing, I came up with the idea", Vu said. From the original 4 members, the group now has 40 people. Currently, the group operates throughout the area in Da Nang and some localities of Quang Nam province.

👉 All of the car group always emphasizes the safety of people. Vehicles and drivers are disinfected before receiving a trip, always equipped with a mask, hand sanitizer.
