Hello, my name is Su. I am a local Black Hmong tour and trekking guide from Lao Chai Village in Sapa, Lao Cai Province, Vietnam.

I offer single and multi day trekking tours to the rice terraces and remote ethnic villages surrounding Sapa. I am a local Black Hmong tour and trekking guide from Lao Chai Village, Sapa. Trekking tours depart every morning at 09:00 from the Notre Dame Cathedral at the Sapa town center. We will trek until 12:00 when we will stop in a village for lunch. After lunch we will continue trekking until a

round 03:00. A taxi will return you to Sapa town in a taxi by 04:00. Lunch and transportation are included in the tour price. All tours are suitable for children and people of varying levels of fitness. Custom tours and home-stay are also available.

for great photos in terraced rice fields Sapa’s ripe rice season usually starts from mid-August to October every year. Around this time, when I came to Sapa, I saw many places that had already begun to harvest, like in Nam Sai commune - about 33km from Sapa center; or yellow-tinged terraced fields in Y Linh Ho village - about 5km from Sapa and there are places where the rice is as green as in Lao Chai - about 18km from Sapa. I’m fascinated by the bright yellow color stretching across the small hills. The feeling of standing still to enjoy the peaceful space and the scent of ripe rice is enough to eliminate fatigue and immerse yourself in that beautiful nature. It’s not my first time, but I still have to admire that simple beauty. Love it! It’s like that doesn’t make me feel nauseous or something, but there are also images of fellow people here (mainly Mong people) harvesting rice, children riding buffaloes or running around together. Friends of the same age walk in the fields... to add to the beauty of this place. That whole space makes me want to faint! 2. Explore the process of indigo dyeing linen and beeswax painting of the Mong people. Have the opportunity to come to sapa and Lao Chai to take photos of the ripe rice season,
